Trade #25?

It is possible that 4 top QBs and 4 top O linemen are gone at 25. I like at 25 Taco Charlton OLB, Cunningham ILB or OLB and Awuzie perfect nickle corner to allow KJ to go to safety. I do think Awuzie could be had in early second round.

Cleveland has made several offers for NE's Garoppolo with NE allegedly then bumping up the ask. If Browns could add #25 to an offer, would the fish bite? What could a trade look like? A trade based on points would be something like 25 and 89 to Browns with #33 and #65 to Houston. Is Cleveland so enthralled with Garop that they would give more for #25? Maybe #33 and #52? How about 25 & 89 for 33 & 65 and our 2018 second round back to us? Browns getting Garoppolo, Garrett #1 and #12 Fournette or a trade down for other picks would be a great draft.

What about #25 to other teams? Teams without a first round are Rams 4-12, Vikings 8-8, NE at 32 needing a linebacker.

Cleveland has picks out the wazoo so I don't think they need anybodys help for picks to swing a trade, besides the Rickster doesn't do big-time first round trades.

If this happens then Melifonwu or Peppers will be available, which are my two favorites to land in the 1st round. IMO, either one would fill a need and take our D to even another level. I wouldn't pick a QB at #25 except Trubisky and wouldn't take any tackle at #25. I know it is a need but we would be drafting a 3rd round tackle in the 1st round.

For me I don't spend much time debating value of picks versus other drafts. These are the players and picks are known. As in any draft you pick whom you think will improve team and that resolves on what scouts say. Houston needs right tackle and a QB, if we wait to draft them based on positional value in previous drafts odds are player not there when we pick. Most sources I review say Bolles, Robinson and Ramzcik can start at RT very soon.

I don't think there's anyway Bolles is ready to start in the NFL this year at any position. He might have the most upside of the 3 prospects but he's got very limited experience.
Robinson has been a multi year starter in the SEC at OT so he might be ready. And I think there's still questions about Ramziks physical situation because of injury so there's a lot of uncertainty about his status for 2017 ?

I don't think there's too many college football players coming out at any position that are ready to play in the NFL. Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck are 2 that were pretty close to being ready and even they took their lumps at the next level. If the Texans took Bolles at #25, ready or not, I think he starts game 1 at RT. He may get abused quite a bit the first season but Clark was getting abused a lot this past season, so you might as well play Bolles and start his development. If they wanted to ease him in the first few games that would be OK too. I think they did that with XSF, if I recall, because he missed all of OTA's due to Stanford's extended semester. But, Bolles doesn't have to worry about any of that. He should be there for OTA's and TC if they pick him, and I think they would start him at RT from day 1. JMO!

There are more guys than the top three that can come in and start, Dawkins, Moton are two more, they will all take their lumps.

Bolles will start year 1 wherever he ends up. Probably day 1. He will struggle for a bit, but then every OT in the past decade has struggled in the first year. I recall Jake Long being called a wasted pick, much as D Brown was here on this board

Not sure where to put following so stuck it here: reports saying Tennessee is reviewing trade offers for pick #5.

That's way too far for the Texans to move up, but their pick at #18 is doable to get a QB they covet. Wouldn't do it for anything else.

yes but depends on what offer is; Titans need defensive backs and many have them going for safety at # 5 in a very deep draft. Trade #5 to Cardinals who jump ahead of Browns to select QB Trubiski. Titans at #13 pick TE OJ Howard and #18 to Texans. At 25 Titans select a CB or safety.
