He has had a bad combine but I still really like him. He runs well in traffic and has a burst through the hole. Always seems to fall forward and has good hands, Cook needs work in pass pro as most young RB's do, good but not great long speed.

Cook reminds me so much of Emmitt Smith in that he's a much better football player than he is a workout warrior. Because of Cook's past shoulder injury and a DV charge that was dropped there's a chance he could fall to the 2nd rd. I know the Texans need a QB and an OT, but if Cook somehow was to fall to the 2nd rd (Doubtful) I would pick him in a heartbeat.

Rd.1 Mahomes
Rd.2 Cook
Rd.3 Victor Salako

I'm a very happy draftnik

His film is great although the fumble issues are a concern. Was very surprised by his Combine numbers though. For a guy who looks insanely athletic on film to test in the 9th percentile for RB's...that's confusing.

I noticed that his combine numbers were not good across the board. Surprising, because as Wolverine said, he appears very athletic on the field.

Maybe he'll actually be available at 25?

There some medical issues as well.

Which my cause him to fall a bit. Probably not to the 2nd rd.

I remember thinking how special he was in the Miami/Michigan games.

Shocked by his combine numbers and luckily I value game tape more than combine numbers when it comes to RB's.

I wouldn't say he has medical issues. He had a hamstring he pushed through in 2015. Have I forgotten a serious injury?

Isn't he in the same mold as Miller? I'd rather have a bruiser like Foreman or Fournette to go along with Miller. Miller is gonna be here awhile .

Yes only better, he reminds me of Emmitt Smith, always falling forward after 1st contact. He's a great GL back although he's not a big RB because of feel and that defenders rarely hit him solidly.

Emmitt's gifts in running thru contact were (1) in using just enough wiggle to turn a shoulder tackle into an arm tackle, (2) in use of his off-side hand (95% of the time his right since he defied conventional wisdom and virtually always carried the ball in his left) to divert the arm and (3) superb balance, those grazing hits he created weren't enough.

Forgot about the shoulder surgeries. They both were in the offseason, one before his true freshman year. I'm not sure it's something that is a big issue, he never missed any time, but it could be, I suppose. I was more concerned with the hamstring from 2015 popping back up.

As far as comparisons, Jamaal Charles comes to mind.

Forget what the combine says. What does his game film show? How did he play against top competition?

He's a beast. The problem with him are the fumbles. But he had a really good games against Clemson, Michigan, Florida and Ole Miss. Check it out http://draftbreakdown.com/players/dalvin-cook/ . Mentioning him in comparison to Miller isn't fair to Miller. Cook is a special player and possesses elite level skills.
