"UNOFFICIAL" Texans Vs Colts 2 Game Day Thread

Wohoo!! I still remember Christmas 2006 was the first time we beat the Colts. Now ten years later we sweep them for the first time!!

What happened? Did we win?

I was sexting with a Colts fan this whole time, but for some reason she stopped a few minutes ago.

Clowney is getting better. I wish he wasnt injury prone. Hope to see him and Watt next year wreak havok finally after waiting so many years for it.

I'm glad we won!

That said the Colts imploded and handed us the win on a silver platter. Luck was trying to give us free ints the entire game. I hope we play better so we can beat the Bengals!

absolutely hated the call not to go for it on 4th&1 in the red zone with less than 3 to play.

But it worked out.

Brock sux... XSF is better than Aboushi & Allen...

O'Brien: "Give our players a lot of credit. It's a really good win for our team."

O'Brien: "I think Brock did a nice job of managing the game and doing exactly what we asked him to do."

Aaron Wilson ‏@AaronWilson_NFL
Bill O'Brien 'Good win, very difficult to win here'

Bill O'Brien said Oday Aboushi practiced well and Su'a Filo dealing with hand injury

Bill O'Brien on special teams improvement from GB game 'We needed it'

Jadeveon Clowney going to have his injured wrist examined postgame here at Lucas Oil Stadium

Lainie Fritz ‏@KPRC2Lainie
"Our defense competes our defense is tough to deal with. Secondary playing well. All three phases contributed to this win" -O'Brien

Brian T. Smith ‏@ChronBrianSmith
O'Brien was asked about Osweiler. Said he wasn't going get into evaluating players.

... and from the Broncos, whatcha think - a jab from Kube?

Lindsay Jones ‏@bylindsayhjones
Kubiak: "From the outside looking in it doesn't look good, but I've been a part of worse."

Imagine how could we would be with an accurate passer

Again... franchise QBs aren't normally available. Goff, Wentz, Lynch, you're going to be seeing what we've seen for at least a season with any of them.

It would have been nice if Brock had it figured out after 7 games with Denver, bit he didn't. it would have been nice if he had figured it out over the last 13 games... but he didn't.

I'm not trying to sell you on Brock. Only that we need to expect our QB to struggle, regardless how much time it takes.

I get it, it shouldn't take Brock a whole season. But if we drafted a rookie, we'd rightfully point out our receivers don't get separation. our OL has been less than consistent. & the play calling has been puzzling.

Boomer Esiason just said the Colts lost the game and handed to the Texans. Think he's right or did the Texans play better?

The Texans earned this win. They forced those turnovers with pressure. If anything this game was clear than it should have been because of fg's vs td's.

Yup. It could have been a lopsided victory with TDs instead of FG. The Texans also managed to use up the clock when they needed to during 4th qtr.

I was debating what the right call was that 4th&1. I wanted to go for it, but if we miss I felt we pretty much handed them the game - giving them the ball with a chance to win with a field goal. So, when they went for the field goal, I didn't have a problem and thought it was probably the correct decision. Either way, if it doesn't work out everyone will second guess and say it was the wrong decision.

I just watched the end of the Miami vs. Arizona game. Matt freakin' Moore drove the Dolphins into field goal range for the game winning kick during one of the heaviest downpours I've seen during a game and was more accurate than assweiler. If we just had a "good" QB, not Manning or Brees or Brady, just good, this team could be a team to compete with. The games we have won have been in spite of having trashweiler at QB and O'Brien coaching. Assweiler has been a "starting" QB in this league for almost two full seasons now but will never be a "starting" QB in this league.

Absolutely right call. Force the TD. Now, if up by 3 then go for it. They are not too good in short yardage anyway. and if they turn over on downs and lose on FG it would be inexcusable. You all would be screaming for BOB's head.
