Indianapolis Colts @ Houston Texans. 10/8. 7:20. CBS/NFLN. **Official ALDS Gameday Thread**

I totally agree but if we're going to stay in a 3 4 I say put watt at outside linebacker

Respectfully disagree. I understand why you would want to do that, but the only reason this team doesn't get gashed on every play is because Watt is controlling 2-3 OL every snap. You put him at OLB and you are moving him further away from the ball and that makes him less of an impact player (IMO).

Doesn't get gashes every play? What games have you been watching

**** Hoyer this is a stupid move. I'm starting to doubt OB.

OB made the absolute right move on the original drive by keeping Mallett out. I know he wanted to go back in but he was sucking air. However, you send Mallett back out on the next drive. He's your starter. This flip-flopping **** is ridiculous. I've never seen a professional team play musical chairs like this with the QB position.

I'm OB's biggest fan but I'm starting to doubt his competence. This QB situation is a complete mess and it's 100% his doing.

Exactly what the hell is he thinking?

I don't know if moving him to OLB is a good move, but I'm not sure about that reasoning.

Traditionally it's your OLBs that are the play makers in a 34. Watt is the rare DE that playmakes from that position.

TBH I'd rather move Cushing out there and take away some of his responsibilities. Get him out of space as much and let him just play downhill more often. I'd rather have a mlb that can move in space and run.

Watt doesn't really help as much in the getting gashed area because he's always running up field.

Hoyer throws 5 shitty passes in a row then throws a hell marry and we score now all the mallet haters will be touting Hoyer our savor

I know it's the opposite of the saying but I'd rather be good then lucky, but it's something positive I'll take it!

That TD was not the throw by Hoyer or the catch by Strong........it was a total screw up by 5 Colts defenders not handling a hail Mary pass worth beans.

3-4 OLB's make all the plays because the DL are all two-gapping and eating blocks. Who's going to eat those blocks if Watt is playing OLB?

Good point about Watt going upfield though. I'm starting to notice that when teams run draw plays they run them right at Watt because on most 3rd downs he's running straight upfield on his rush.

Is it wrong of me to want to see more of Brian Hoyer and Jaelen Strong? Bill Cowher just said we have to be careful with Ryan Mallett. Mentally he just checked out.

What if Mallett was sent back for medical attention?

Our starting QB and RB are both injured lol
