TEXANS VS BUCCANEERS INJURY REPORT

Yea I think participating through the walk through (non-contact) is what, stage 4 of the process?

I was actually going to post this same article. What you have to understand is that the final stage requires certain vital signs to remain within a certain range following strenuous activities such as sprints and weight lifting, besides more sophisticated parameters and tests before the neurologist will release the player to game play. Especially with history of multiple previous concussions, players are treated much more carefully with additional testing before passing the final stage. Having spoken to many neurologists over the years about this subject, I can tell you that most feel much more comfortable following the stricter Zurich guidelines..........especially in the case of multiple previous concussions.

Would not be surprised if we see surprises on Sunday on who actually makes it onto the field for both teams, with some players out there until they're no longer out there.:spy:

Panthers LB Thomas Davis fined $8,681 for late hit on Texans’ Jonathan Grimes
By Aaron Wilson on on September 25, 2015 5:13 PM

Carolina Panthers middle linebacker Thomas Davis was fined $8,681 for his late hit on Texans running back Jonathan Grimes, according to an NFL spokesman.

The punishment stems from an unnecessary roughness infraction.

Davis arrived late and struck Grimes in the first quarter of the Panthers’ 24-17 win over the Texans at Bank of America Stadium.

Grimes remained in the game and was unhurt, but later injured his knee.

I had a bothersome thought. With Adams on IR, and with no replacement on the roster, the roster stands at 52. We have 4 of those definitely OUT with injuries for Sunday. That makes 48 available to suit up. If all 3 of our QUESTIONABLE players can't go, that means there would only be 45 available to suit up. And if injury/ies occur on the field, then..............:dontknowa

Vrabel signs a 1 day contract and suits up?

The player in the concussion protocol must go through each phase without showing symptoms and there is usually a 24-hour resting period between each phase. As long as he test out asymptomatic from each test, he'll continue on with the next one. Since Hopkins' concussion was not evident until Monday instead of Sunday, Hopkins managed to be cleared right under the wire. I don't know that I would feel comfortable with a player having had his 3rd concussion playing in the same week of entering the protocol, as it's been shown that the closer a subsequent concussion occurs, the more likely the damage it causes to the brain. That's why you seldom see a player playing the week following the diagnosis of their concussion, especially a player playing a position like WR, which lends itself to hard hits and higher risk for concussion to begin with.

Now would be a great time for a X sighting. This new guy they picked up, Aboushi did great and looks like he can help but X needs to step out of the shadows and get to work. He's starting to get a Joppru thing going on. A kind of "Is he still on our team?" feeling.

Another great find by Ricky. He has real problems drafting value especially with his third-round picks, but he seems to be able to consistantly bring in street FAs that help us in a time of real need.

Yep,

And the good thing Aboushi played for Devlin last yr and that should shorten the learning curve. This is the reason they promoted Gaine.
