Or the McNair .281 to .488 to .563 and beyond plan. It certainly is what it is.

Oh wise one, no cherry picking or flawed thinking allowed. What is Fisher's record against the Texans? What is Texans record after Fisher? Your logic is often flawed, like in another thread you tried with no success to compare Ravens drafts to Texans draft. You ASSUME that Rick Smith and the Texans have the same eye and ability of evaluate talent and draft players better or as good as Ozzie Newsome. Wrong, nothing could be further from the truth.2009-10 the Texans were 15-17 overall and 2-2 against the Titans. So slightly better against the Titans than the league.
No excuses, just facts.
Or 3 #1 draft picks in 12 years....a recipe for .423Or the McNair .281 to .488 to .563 and beyond plan. It certainly is what it is.

That's loser talk where I come from.

The Browns are in a league of their own when it comes to expansion shittiness. They are New Orleans 'Aints paper sack wearing and Tampa Bay Bucs bad.Totally agreed here.
Yeah it's totally specious to compare the Panthers and Jags because their early success was considered too easy and so the rules were changed for the Browns and Texans. The Browns are our most/only heads up comparison for expansion.
Give me break. I don't make any apologies for wanting a winner in Houston. The same goes for Texian and steelbtexan. I am going to be there this Sunday like I am every home game. I can root for my team hard and still be critical where it is warranted. As BO'B himself said. This team has NO RESPECT across the league because it hasn't done jack squat. I don't like having to call into Charlie Pallilo's show every week to rip on Rick Smith's ineptitude. I would much rather call and be optimistic like I am about the Rockets and Astros. Those teams are led by good GMs and we might get beat but it is not because we have an idiot like Rick running the show.If some of you guys really really want to make a big deal where the Texans are and constantly moan, complain and wine. There are other teams you can root that are at a point where you want your NFL team to be at. It is that much easier.

This is a 7 win team at best. Our moronic roster cuts are the icing on the **** sandwich of a season we have in store for us. O'Brien's hubris in thinking he can turn the garbage that is Brian Hoyer into a competent, NFL QB will blow up in his face. The roster holes resulting from Dick Smith's horrific 2013 and 2014 drafts will be plain to see for even the blindest homers on this message board. We are going to have trouble scoring points with a bad OL, no running game and **** starting at QB. who else is with me?
Wow, I need to check that thread out for a good laugh. Anyone comparing Texans drafts to Ozzie's Ravens' drafts has a screw loose. That is typical infantrycak liking to argue for the sake of arguing. No one with a clue about football would seriously think that the Texans come close to the results of the best GM in all of football. The results speak for themselves. The Ravens are Super Bowl winners and consistently get deep in the playoffs. The Texans have done squat. One of the best things about football is the record speaks for itself. No one on this board would keep McNair and Rick over Bisciotti and Ozzie. No one.Oh wise one, no cherry picking or flawed thinking allowed. What is Fisher's record against the Texans? Amen Brother.....There are a lot of fans living in a pipe dream right now.....Hoyer!!! Seriously!!!.....Ask (or listen ) to any ex NFL QB working as a game analysts & he'll tell u that Brian Hoyer is a good solid journeyman (nice word for back up) QB....that's the history of his career....that's it....He's not a pro bowl QB....he's not going to be face of an NFL teams franchise...He's a great guy, works hard, can "manage" an offense pretty & he won't say something stupid that will embarrass your team during a press conference.....But that's it....You can't teach talent, size or arm strength which are "key" attributes of pro bowl QB's. Hoyer is of average talent, small size & average arm strength & this is not going to change no matter who coaches him... Fans that think Coach Obrien is some kind of Chris Angel & he can magically turn Hoyer into Drew Breeze is in for a big let down.
That's what y'all aren't getting . Nobody says Hoyers a savior but he is better than Fitz
And what some don't seem to get is the bold is pure hope because Hoyer hasn't performed as well as Fitz last year yet.
Having Hoyer play this year is giving me the same feeling when Cody Carlson started for the Oilers.

# of draft picks/# still in the league/# still on team
2007 Ravens 7/3/1 Texans 7/3/0
2008 Ravens 10/2/1 Texans 7/1/1
2009 Ravens 6/4/1 Texans 8/5/1
2010 Ravens 7/3/1 Texans 9/5/2
2011 Ravens 8/5/1 Texans 8/5/2
This is kinda interesting - a chart I worked up. It plots the cumulative win % of the Texans since inception. Note the trendline (or I suppose you could call it "the Bob McNair learning curve"). It goes up. I'm sure some will say it doesn't go up fast enough.![]()

That's what y'all aren't getting . Nobody says Hoyers a savior but he is better than Fitz and the QB situation is better than last years . What was our record last year ? We have a pretty easy schedule this year so if there's a bet with the over/under at 8 wins , I'm taking the over .
The parity in the NFL is designed for teams to win 8 games. You make it seem like the Texans 9-7 record last year was some sort of accomplishment. It's not. It means nothing. The mentality you have is the same one McNair has. Not invest in the QB position and being content with mediocrity. That mentality and approach is a proven loser. The Texans .423 winning percentage is proof of that. McNair might be a great guy, but he is a terrible owner when it comes to football operations. We aren't going to do jack squat as long as he has a say in the football side of things. The wildcard is his son, Cal. I have no idea if he will be an improvement or an even bigger buffoon. Time will tell. I would love it if Les Alexander bought the team.

Bortles, Garoppolo or Bridgewater are 3 QBs we could have had last year that would have made me happy. We could have gotten Garoppolo in the 2nd but for the XSF pick which is looking more like a bust every day.So what QB would you want and how would you have picked him ?

Great reference. Remember how everyone loved Commander Cody, especially in the last game of the 92 season against the Steelers at the Dome in which we won to go to the playoffs. We go into the 1994 season with Commander Cody and crash and burn. The same thing could happen to this team. At least we have a much better coach now than the aggy moron of a head coach we had with Pardee. Anyone want to question my Houston NFL fanhood? I have been following this **** for close to 30 years now.Having Hoyer play this year is giving me the same feeling when Cody Carlson started for the Oilers.
