Which position do the Texans need to shore up worst. I'm voting for QB, but the others are close.

I will say QB, but LG and RB aren't far behind. I just see Hoyer getting eaten alive if we can't run the ball better. Its sad when an average player like Hoyer looks more stable than our starting RB and LG going into the season.

Oh, maybe I misunderstood the point of the poll. I thought this was about what we need that we might be able to get before the opening of the season.

If that's the case, I think it's OL.

If it's what do we need to go get next offseason, that's a different matter. Probably QB if none of the ones we have develop.

This was my understanding too

Legit qb makes everyone better
If we play like we did against the Saints today I feel really good about the 2015 season. That's a Saints defense which is expected to be much improved. Rob Ryan isn't a slouch. He used a couple of erotic blitzes today. Hoyer threw one away like a smart veteran and avoided a big loss.

Definately hope Hoyer calls the right protection there ...

There were no safeties in the middle of the field on that aggressive blitz. I was hoping Brian Hoyer would have seen a big play potential if he had noticed it right away. We had one guy gaining a little separation 15 yards down the field. Looked like Fiedorowicz on the replay. I'm just glad he threw it out of bounds to avoid a big sack loss. It wasn't the best case scenario but also not the worst case scenario. We can live with that.

That man in the middle of the field should have been an immediate read for Hoyer. Sad when we have to compliment our starting QB for taking the wrong action.............because "It could have been worse."

I've been searching for a name for my new football themed lingerie store.

Couldn't resist the low hanging fruit.

I really wanted to say RB after watching the **** display last night but I can't deny that until Hoyer actually does something to change perceptions of him we need a QB more than anything and unless it's Savage (hiding down there among the 3's) that guy just isn't on this roster.

It just has to be QB. A very good QB could make a lot of the issues we have seem like non-problems.

RGIII could well become available. His current contract means he'd clear waivers and if BOB wants him I'm pretty sure we'd be one of the better places for him to land at this point.

He could sit and learn behind Hoyer this season, give his body a chance to recuperate and have a chance to become an asset down the line. You gamble a chunk of cap but over all a fairly low risk/high reward type move shooting for a guy who could be great if he get get things turned around.

qb and it's not close. That's not a realistic get.

I see oline mentioned but I don't think that's realistic either. Maybe depth. But I'm not sure how big of an impact that would have at this point.

Not for this season.

If I was on the lookout for pickups or trades that could help us now I'd be looking at running back.

I think we could realistically upgrade our RB group. OB seems to love Blue. He's ok. But when Charles James is the most exciting prospect there, it's an issue.

with the way the team is built, I'd like another quality back that can challenge blue for carries and be a good compliment to Arian when he's back.

I'd be scouring the league for available upgrades there. Trade, fa pick ups

Agreed. I'm hoping OB was putting our RBs in situations he knew they struggled in. It's the preseason after all. Hopefully OB is well aware of what they can do, like he knows what they can't do & he'll be able to put together game plans to maximize their production. Like Kevin Faulk & Shane Vareen.

Scouring the recent releases............Trent Richardson let go by the Raiders............we could pick him up................and instantly make the rest of our RBs look world class.:chef:

Fred Jackson would be an instant upgrade. The best 3rd down RB on the team the minute he signs. I'm really watching Seattle/49ers RB cuts.
