Got no problem with O'Brien calling all those run plays. It's preseason. Time to learn about your team. It's strengths and it's weaknesses. I think we just saw a pretty big weakness right there.

Also both QB's looked pretty solid. It's a small sample size but pretty easy to see why O'Brien is having trouble picking one guy thus far.

Mallett's release and lazerrocket cannon arm gets my vote. And he showed nice accuracy/touch.
I'm calling it even right now. Both guys look sharp. Even Hoyer's incompletion hit the guy right in his hands.
Edit: and neither one of them have thrown a deep ball so arm strength hasn't come into play yet
Hoyer was 2-4 right? He just doesn't have the zip on the ball and quick release Mallett has.

Both guys did. Hoyer's TD pass was an absolute rope and you could really see Mallett's arm strength on the sideline comeback.

One of Hoyer's incompletions was a flat azz drop and the other was a good defensive play.
