The Oakland Raiders will win this division because they have an excellent head coach in Jack del Rio. He is the coach I wanted for the Texans. The Raiders will overtake the Broncos, who will be inconsistent since they are now stuck with a bad HC in Gary Kubiak. Del Rio has "owned" Kubiak when they have opposed each other. The difference in football intelligence has shined like the sun.

I don't know what your definition of "owned" is, but Kubiak was 7-5 against Del Rio.

I should have said when they opposed each other more recently. The time when del Rio beat Kubiak with physically worse teams than the Texans had. Like the times he embarrassed him by making an onside kick work, by making a fake punt work, by finishing a game with a hail Mary pass. I recall the time Kubiak called the halfback pass that was picked in the end zone.

That's your definition of embarrassed? You should be embarrassed.

That hail mary was a classic fluke play (batted ball by a defender right to a player in no position to make a play) but to your more recent point, in 2010. More recent than what, Capers. The half back pass was 2009.

You know you're wrong or you wouldn't be talking trick plays and flukes.

Recently like the last four games they opposed each other as head coaches, when Kubiak was 3-1 against him? Like that recently?

Or is that still not contorting the idea of "owned" enough to fit your narrative?

It wasn't exactly a fluke. Jax decided to try that hail Mary because they knew the Texans were badly coached and that somebody was likely to make some disastrous mistake, they just didn't know what mistake. They were right. Quin spiked the ball backward when he could have picked it and tried to run it back all the way. Why not? Last play of game and he clearly could have brought it out of the end zone. But if he wasn't going to intercept he should have spiked it downward.
Who said anything about 2009 or 2010?
By the way, Fang, if I thought I was wrong I wouldn't be posting.

The original key points were that the Broncos wouldn't win and the Raiders would. Somebody might address those instead of posting absurd replies like the one quoted.

Is there another Carr brother with an account on here?

Whaaaa... ?

I don't think Oakland makes a big enough jump to win the division. The arrow is pointing up for them, for the first time in a long time, but not ready. I think KC & Den battle it out for the division with SD mixing it in the middle.

This is assuming no major injuries to Denver and KC.

In 16 years Peyton's probably won his division 12 times. The team he's on now may be the most complete of his career, and swept the AFC West 6-0 last season. The Raiders had 3 wins last year, while the rest of the division all had winning records. None of the other 3 teams did anything that would lead people to think they'd fall apart, especially the Chiefs who addressed their biggest hole at WR if I remember correctly. And Del Rio's .489 record isn't scaring anybody, especially since as already pointed out he is unlikely to cause Kubiak any concern.

Dumb.

They tried a hail Mary for the same reason every hail mary is tried - they had no alternative other than concede.

Please market whatever you are smoking. Name a unit other than kicker that is better on the Raiders than the Broncos?

A .489 record is pretty dang good when you're fighting an organization like Jacksonville has.

It wouldn't have been conceding to avoid the risk. The game would have gone to overtime.

Head coach.
