Shane Cardin, QB, ECU

Threw into double coverage twice at the end, there. Predetermined.

Still a nice day 3 developmental QB. Smart. Achiever.

But I thought he was being touted as possibly the best QB in the draft? :kitten:

WRs Hardy and Worthy are better pro prospects than Carden.

I was high on him at the beginning of the season. He's a very good college QB.

But as far as a pro prospect, how is he any different than any of the guys Texas Tech has put out?

Worthy may have dropped more passes than he caught. Same could be said about the other WRs w/ exception of Hardy. Hardy is the only one who could ever get consistent separation. Hardy is the only ECU WR who will play on Sundays and he is likely a 3rd or 4th WR. The TEs were horrible.

I have seen enough ECU games this year (almost all) to know that ECU is a poorly coached football. It is mu opinion that Carden kept them in many games and without him ECU would've been a sub .500 team. Offensively the OC game plan priority was to run 120 plays a game. Actual plays called took a back seat.

Carden is different in that he throws down field much more often and a whole lot less of the 0-5 yd pass. Carden has full command of the offense, good footwork, can look off the safety and is considerably more accurate on a 20 yd pass, played in. He's 23, played in 40 games, played over 4000 snaps, and I'm not sure anyone gets the ball out any quicker than Carden. With a porous OL he didn't take many sacks

That said he would better served sitting a couple years learning the pro game. Of all the day 2 or day 3 QBs to be drafted, he would be my first choice.
