Christian Hackenberg

Interesting
He was the biggest recruit they have gotten since the child sex scandle

he is from there he has wanted to be at Penn state since he was young that's why he went there regardless of the turmoil that surrounded them

I don't think it happens or can see it
but If it does happen. . . Then that is definitely not good for Penn State

Does anyone else see us drafting this guy if he falls?
He's a sophomore.

Christian Hackenberg says this season was the 'best thing' that could have happened
Christian Hackenberg struck a positive tone after Penn State's 34-10 loss to Michigan State on Saturday, saying this season was "the best thing that could possibly happen to me."

The sophomore quarterback also dismissed any notion that he might transfer, telling reporters that "you guys made that whole thing up."

"This is where I'm at, this is where I want to be," Hackenberg said. "This is the team I love, the guys I love, the university I love. And I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

Hackenberg went 21-for-45 for 195 yards against the Spartans, his fifth straight game with under 200 yards passing. He also was intercepted once, tying the school's single-season interceptions record with 15, and sacked three times to set a school record (42).

Hackenberg said those issues stretched across the last three months forced him to "learn a lot," particularly concerning how to handle stress.

"It was awesome for me, at 19 years old, to have that experience, because some people don't experience that until they're 20-30 years old and they don't know how to handle it," Hackenberg said. "I'm extremely grateful for that. I'm also grateful for the coaching staff we have here and the players we have here...

Man, I'd love to have a shot at this kid.

I really like Hackenberg, but James Franklin is stunting his growth drastically. He needs to leave Penn St as soon as possible before he gets killed.

<edit, wrong guy>

But Hackenberg is overcoming the bad and flashing some in this game. Great camera work catching his pre-snap peek before that last TD.

I still think he needs to transfer

To another Div I school? He'd have to sit out for a year, like Mallett did.

or do you think he should drop down a tier & play for the Delaware Blue hens or something, then enter the draft after his junior season?

as my opinion is most QBs should get to NFL ASAP to get under better coaching, I'd say the latter. He should be selective for a team that would keep him in view of NFL scouts and a system that highlights his skills. This was what Dorial Green-Beckham should have done and moved his ranking up a bit.
