It looks like the Bucs will be trading Glennon this offseason, especially if they take a QB with their 1st round pick which will be no worse than 2. I really like the guy and think Lovie Smith is a moron for not giving him a real shot. Bucs fans have been frustrated by this.

He has never been in a real offensive system and has never had good coaching at the NFL level. He has looked pretty solid to me when playing. I wouldn't doubt if he joins that list of Bucs QBs that went somewhere else and performed better than whomever the Bucs settled on.

I think he is going to be much better than Mallett and I am sure the Bucs will be stupid enough to give him away for a late round pick.

If the Texans don't end up with a better prospect in the draft they should go after this guy.

Can you expound on why he will be better than Mallett?

Just by the eye test to be honest. Granted, I haven't seen Mallett play a lot. Just to the 2 games he started for the Texans and here and there in preseason Pats games.

I have seen Glennon in person several times and have watched every game he has played in. He has composure, is calm, has a great arm and doesn't turn the ball over for starters. He is a student of the game and apparently works very hard from what is coming out of Tampa. I think he could be a very good NFL QB in the right situation.

He just needs decent coaching which he hasn't had here. It seems people can't get over his geeky Napoleon Dynamite looks. (BTW, Mallett is goofy looking too).

Lovie Smith is an offensive moron and is just stubborn sticking with his guy McCown despite Glennon looking better when he has played. Maybe Lovie has been shooting for the #1 overall pick all along by playing McCown.

Glennon reminds me of Jeff Garcia. Not by the way he plays but how hardly anyone respects his game but has the intangibles and work ethic just like Garcia.

Why? What do you have against him?

He hasn't pulled up any trees for me.

Any report i have read (i know not watched him live, limited football over here) has not mentioned any "star" traits.
His % complete passes range from 40 to 60%

He is a pocket passer going on his running stats and he is 6ft 6in tall so fits the O'Brian QB Mould.

For me is no better that what we have with Mallet and Savage.

Think they took him with a 3rd or 4th pick even behind Geno (could be wrong) bet they would be looking for a 4th rd pick and for me he is not worth that.

My initial comment was meant as a tongue in cheek joke sorry

I can't say I see that at this point.

I have no issue with a late pick. He seems to have regressed some, and I'd like to know why.

I'd just question what the leadership quotient is in our QB room would be with Mal, Tom, and Mike.

It's not fair to say he has "regressed". He has looked a lot sharper this season than last. Lovie pulled him after a couple of sub par games where the whole team sucked, especially the offensive line. Actually the O line has been horrible all season.

Also keep in mind that the Bucs don't have an OC since he quit due to health problems before the season started and that duty was given to a rookie QB coach who has been expectedly really bad. Most don't even think he will stick around as the QB coach.

I would be interested in seeing how he performs with an offensive line that can block, a real OC and an experienced QB coach.
