I think Mallett is starting to act like the Mallett from last week. Maybe he's finally in the game.

Maybe O'Brien can get his head in the game too.
 
Hey look O'Brien, the Bengals actually block for their stupid screen play whatevers.

Maybe we should stop doing those plays until we learn to do the same?

#Texans last week showed early they were not afraid to go deep. Nothing like that today.
 
So, next time any of you complain about the Texan coaching staff's time management in a two minute drill, remember the Cincinnati Bengals and Marvin Lewis.

Marvin Lewis, regarded with respect around the league... what a disaster!!
 
Lets stop giving them 5 yard cushions please? They are clearly terrified of having to block our defensive front, lets force them to do what they don't want to do.
 
Dalton 16/18. Yea thats what happens when you give their receivers 8 yards of cushion every play.

Don't even give the DL a chance to get the the QB with the ball coming at so quick

He took the time the Bengals had left and tossed it in the trash.
 
What bothers me most about this team is the inexplicable
inconsistency we have had all year..

One week we look like a playoff team, the next week we look
like an expansion squad.

It started in the preseason, and has continued up to now..

Agreed. Dalton will make errant tosses if you play agressive Sometimes I wonder about RC gameplan.

If you're the Texans, you can't play worse.

Expecting a better team next half.

Cincy's play calling last two drives was weak.

Lets hope the defense can play a little more press and double Green.
 
Only gave up 7 points on defense. It was ugly, but good job defense.

Now... offensively. .. hopefully we'll see those half time adjustments & break this thing wide open. Need to double Peko on every snap...

Dan Fouts is a bitter guy. He never got a ring and he is a jerk on telecast.

Yeah. I like to contribute to to a new coach, new QB's, a new system altogether. I have no idea really, but that's where I go when pondering the Texans sometimes.
 
I will make this point once again about how much I love this coaching staff... This team was totally outclassed on both sides of the ball and did not get any fortunate turnovers or lucky bounces... and did nothing noteworthy on special teams.

However, it is a 6 point game at halftime and the Texans are receiving the kickoff. Many NFL teams would've panicked after the safety and compounded mistakes, etc... This group of coaches will quickly learn from their mistakes, figure out bad tendencies regarding play-calling and make those adjustments. This staff is teaching the team and organization how to win. Wait until they fill the roster with their players!!

They better make adjustments at half time. They should start with pulling their heads out of their fourth point-of-contact.

I agree. He also needs to quit calling plays behind line of scrimmage. He has 2 talented wideouts and no using them proper. It reminds me when JG was OC for the Cowboys and it failed.

Look at Carson's stats. The Texans didn't stop Cincinnati, the Bengals did.

That's the NFL! The Bengals, Browns, Steelers, Ravens, Dolphins, Chiefs, Chargers, Colts are the teams we are competing against for a playoff spot...and they also are wildly inconsistent from week to week.

I agree staff is teaching the team to win but you cannot play timid on offense. The dink and dunk stuff is not gonna work.

and that message is being delivered to Godsey from OB right now... He revealed that during the 30 second interview at the half.
 
Mallet had me fooled after that first completion earlier when he avoided the sack. Needs to settle down. Hopefully he gets better this game because the Texans need this.
