Houston Texans @ Pittsburgh Steelers. 10/20. 7:30. **Official MNF Gameday Thread**

Hopkins is going to be just fine as a player, he is not a problem. He made a mistake, like Foster did. Foster isn't part of the problem either. The problem is the LB core, the DBs, some on the OL, the QB, lack of return men, etc etc. Stars make mistakes, and you don't cut them for it. It's the other guys that contribute zero, zilch, nada.

Dont forget team speed....

Pretty much how I feel. Any person who tries to sprinkle goodness
on the staff and new player acquisitions is just trying to make
chicken soup from chicken poop.

All these changes resulted in a lateral move, not an improvement.

I just hope we don't repeat this exact same experiment next year
hoping that it will "magically" change..

And no, I am not a bad fan. A bad fan is a guy who is content with this
nonsense year after year..

I don't want my son to have to wait as many years as I have to
witness an NFL championship (or at least a superbowl appearance)

How can anyone believe in this team? How can anyone care about them? They're genuinely trash in the worst possible meaning of the word. 2-3 guys who give everything and a bunch of losers who ride their coat tails all led by a guy who thought that Ryan mother frigging Shitzpatrick was going to lead his team into this season. Everything about this that felt wrong in March was wrong. Every single doubt you had in the spring was correct. We sent our players packing, signed the bums who came in at the right price, hired (another) coach who had no God damn idea what he was doing and let him draft a bunch of assholes who couldn't play.

Makes perfect sense because we're a bunch of fools who keep following this crap smear of a team. **** this mess. I'm too old and too tired to keep watching this team embarrass itself and this town on the national stage.

I'm out and I got here in 1998. Been watching bad football too long.

Had high hopes for Obrien, but this team looks just like last year. Some real talent in spots, some big plays, then a bunch of dumb sh!t.

Wouldn't mind picking up Harbaugh and I hate that guy.

Yeah, I can't believe OB didn't tell Hopkins to get down and not allow a strip fumble.

if i didn't love my seats, i'd put em on the auction block tonite. i am getting sick of the team's ineffectual play after all these years however. maybe it's the owner

All we need is 14 in 3 minutes. Pitt scored 24.

If I were in Vegas, I'd bet on an even bigger point differential. I bet we lose by 17+

Manning - fumble and 7.

Foster - fumble and 7.

Fitzpatrick - interception and 7.

21 points of 27 off turnovers.

So you're saying there's a theme to this team?

McNair, we are not rebuilding = used car salesman. Sorry that's offensive used car salesmen. McNair is worse.

Never said cut him. Manning looks like a shadow of himself.

Anyone think that this is going to be better with Clowney? Can't imagine that our tackling gets better.

I think Clowney is going to make zero difference. He'll come up with a big sack or big tackle for loss once or twice a game and be just another sieve on the line during the rest

The only thing that gets better is the pass rush.

As usual, Fitz is either average at best or garbage....all during the game.

He can go from looking like a decent QB to complete garbage all in one quarter.

The gullible fools that believed him are worse. Playoffs?!? We're talking about playoffs?!!

Can someone please tell Manning that if he can't get past the 20, he should just down it? Does he even know the rules?

No, Clowney won't make any difference at all, we didn't need him in the first place and should never have drafter him.

There was a time when Daniel manning was a good return man. It was a long time ago.

Do you not see Watt get doubled nearly every play?

He's the only legit playmaker on the defense right now. JJo is aging and Cushing is done. Yes, we needed to draft Clowney. We just need him on the field.

I didnt expect this team to be a contender this season. It's the sloppy play, and the WTF play calling that makes these losses hard to take. O Biak has disappointed me. From all that BS talk he put up when he was hired, and in TC got me excited. This however, is far from what I expected.

I agree 100%. That is why I think I was a big mistake drafting him. We should have traded and got multiple picks.

This.

Don't mind losing while rebuilding, but to look like a XFL Team is infuriating.

To do what with? The only picks the Texans make use with are the ones in the first round any ways. They draft bad as the draft goes on it seems.

Honestly a decent QB will solve most of their problems, even on defense.

Pretty much my thought. Unless he is a JJ Watt clone, I don't think a pass rusher is going to make much difference. Fitzy will still be bad. We will still make stupid mental mistakes. And we still won't be able to tackle.

Honestly I think this is not an issue of talent (except at QB) it is one bad mental lapse after another that leads to a giant hole (24-0 against Colts, 24 points in 3 min against Pitt)

This.

You guys are overreacting now. We just went toe to toe with two of the best teams in the NFL, we are not the Jags.

No, I never expected this team to go to the playoffs with Fitz. 8-8 is a accomplishment for this team this year.
