Manning owns TD Pass record

He's imho, the most intelligent QB to ever play the game. His intellect, Brees athleticism and Belicheck for a coach--you'd have the bionic QB.

He also holds the record for TDs against one opponent. Ya want to guess who that opponent is?

I've always enjoyed watching Manning play, but even more so now that he's been out of our division the past couple years.

Side note to the side note...anyone know why Peyton puts his helmet back on after the game to run onto the field? Struck me as odd.

Yeah that was pretty awesome! Staley was looking around like WTF?

 Staley's one of the best too. He definitely learned something new on that play

I've wondered that a time or two myself. Afraid of a random haymaker?

It can't be that comfortable on him with the huge red marks it leaves on his dome

You've got to add Montana's clutch dynamic to the mix. Manning has thrown two pick 6's in as many Super Bowl losses. Just sayin'... :kitten:

My first thought was Young might be better than Montana, but then I really got to thinking: Montana followed by Young....Manning Followed by Luck.....Schaub followed by Fitzpatrick. :-(

So he could have his hands free to pat all the butts going by?

Absolutely!
Montana was clutch...P. Manning is not.
I was more talking about his ability to assess the defense at the line of scrimmage, call the play and even audible after they adjust.

But you're right about Joe.

Might just be an old habit. Growing up all the way through high school you're told to put your helmet on as you line up to shake hands.

It's really not until college when you just do what you want.

The only surprising thing about Manning breaking Favre's record is that he didn't do it against us...

He probably puts his helmet back on because it is such a part of who he is - like musicians who feel naked without their instruments when in a club - Manning, the best quarterback to ever play IMHO, always wears a helmet on the field and so, does so at end because he is on the field. It's part of his incredible work ethic.
