Anyone see Russell Wilson's last 2 plays and still think he's an average QB?

Yeah, I know, it's a team sport but...

He kind of is... except when he adds being a top RB, to that... or does this:

I like the kid a lot, and really enjoy watching the Seahawks in general. I really think they could be the next 'dynasty' in the NFL right now.

As far as Wilson and where he stands, I cannot put him up there with Manning, Brady, Brees, or Rodgers...at least, not yet.

I think he's right there with Eli, Big Ben, and Flacco. Guys that have rings, but do not carry teams on their backs when they do not have great defenses or running games. These guys are what I'd consider 'elite game managers', for lack of a better phrase. Not disrespecting them in any way, but I just do not perceive them as equal to the big four right now.

The thing with Eli, Flacco, Big Ben, etc. (and the reason Seattle is going to have such a tough time maintaining their fledgeling dynasty) is that they now command a larger salary than they are worth. Flacco and Kaepernick earned their paycheck with their first contracts. It remains to be seen whether they can earn what they are now being paid.

When Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, and Earl Thomas are looking to get paid what they are worth, who do you pay? Do you pay Wilson 18 million a year and let Sherman walk? Will Wilson's game management skills be worth that much? Seattle is going to have to make some really difficult decisions soon.

I agree with this point. You have to pay the QB though. You don't have an option. And I think they'll pay Thomas before Sherman. While getting less recognition, he actually does a lot more for their defense. And he isn't replaceable. Sherman is, to a degree. I wouldn't be surprised to see Sherman walk, unless he takes a deal below market value.
