Week 2 VS Raiders....Lets Predict ;)

I think the Texans O takes a big step forward this next game. I see the defense being even more dominant in this game facing rookie Carr. We punish him for his brothers sins ;).

I see AJ having a big day going over 100 with a TD
Foster also eclipsing 100 again but i think he gashes them for some long runs
Defense gets 7 total sacks, Watt with 3 of them

I made this Tuesday so we can also use this thread for our vs raiders talk until the official game day thread gets here.
 
Matt Schaub throws for 500 yards, flips off fans as he leaves the stadium lol.. In all seriousness i think we put up 24, and they put up 6-7 points if that.

JJ Watt has another monster game, and hopefully Merci decides to show up.
 
Neither offense looked like they were ready to score last game, theirs or ours. I think the Skins have a better defense than the Raiders, but the Raiders were balling last week.

I think the Raiders aren't too happy that they lost last week, I think they're going to look at us as "the favorite" to go from worst to first & they're going to play like we're their Super Bowl. Most important game in Raiders recent history & all that.

Both teams are going to score in the 20s, help from defense & special teams of course.

But it's going to be a street fight.
 
I see our offense improving and being that Oaklands defense isn't that good, we should be able to put up points. Our defense should be able to dominate them. Poor oline, no run game and a rookie qb. Crennel better disguise blitzes to confuse Carr.

I think we'll win this one, but I can easily see us losing, bringing all our expectation for this year down where they were before the last game

My expectations have never been down, always been high, but maybe that's just me ;)
 
It's tough to say really, our offense looked like poop on Sunday, but then again, the Raiders run D also looked like poop. It's the classic case of the stoppable force vs the moveable object.

Maybe JJ Watt can just singlehandedly take over this game as well as the other 14 we have remaining this season.

I supposed after a win, no matter how high your expectations were, they would have gone up at least a little bit :)

mine did, but I'm cynic by nature :P
 
Carr takes a worse beating than RGIII did, is injured and Schaub enters the game, but is pulled for McG late in the game with the Raiders last TD coming in garbage time.

Historically we've underperformed relative to expectations against Oakland. Fitzpatrick, who isn't a stellar QB and is in a new system with new teammates, is going to have a hard time in that stadium.

I think we win, but I certainly don't think it will be the blowout some of you are expecting. Carr has a good deep ball and they have a lot of speed at WR. I think the Raiders go boom or bust against us. 3 and outs or long touchdowns. I think it's another ugly, close game
 
Trap game. I see Carr having a breakout game against us and Fitz throwing at least 1 pick. I expect a loss here...
 
Texans 24 Raiders 10. A little bit better showing by the O, Foster clears 120 yds rushing. Defense gets 5 sacks and 2 turnovers.
 
17-9. I don't know where these 27+ point predictions are coming from but I don't think this offense has it in them yet. Maybe in the later portion of the season but not now.
 
I was at the Titans game last year, the last game they won the rest of the year...

I think it will be more of the same this week as last week. Both offenses suck but the Texans defense is better than theirs.

I seriously doubt anyone is expecting our offense to score 27+ points, just like our offense didn't score 14 points last game.

It's a team effort.
 
I predict the Raider offense to be sluggish due to losing sleep over the Texan pass rush.

That is all.

Oakland will be going deep early and often, as that is the only weakness our defense has. Carr won't be dinking and dunking to stay alive like RGIII.

That said, our offense was picking up some momentum toward the end of the game and should have an easier time moving the ball on the ground.

I give it to us 21-16. Mostly on the back of the running game and a solid red zone defense.

We dont know if the deep ball is this teams weakness anymore, Bouye looked pretty good, so has Hal. JoJo seems to be healthy again. That might be one of our strong points.

Our secondary seems to have at least one "oh fk" play per game... 1/2 inch difference on that one deep ball would have made a totally different game

Bouye got some ups though, he almost had the int. Boy has some good speed.

Raiders 12

Carr goes for the winning drive and gets picked off by Brian Cushing who returns to form. Arian goes for 151 yards rushing and 2 TDs, fans question Fitzpatrick.
 
Texans 20, Raiders 17 after Mallett takes over in the second half.

3-0 Texans .... Both offenses suck , both defenses pretty good .... Texans special teams set up the deciding FG.

I like Crennel vs. rookie QB.

Plus it appeared the Jets ran the ball very effectively on oak, which if holds to form will play very well into our strengths.

Ball security from Fitz, keep Carr's head spinning, run the ball working in Foster/Grimes/Blue, field position, and a timely shot or two downfield. And J.J. Lots and lots of J.J.
