Week 1 VS Skins.....Lets Predict ;)

But one quarter of penalties & bending & breaking defense, turnovers & inept offense... the boo birds will start flying.

That is more an indictment on the "fans" than it is about the play on the field. Unfortunately, I have no doubt that there will be "fans" at the game hoping this will happen so that they can boo.

Because they didn't like the OB choice. Because they didn't like the Clowney choice. Because they didn't like the Fitz choice. Because they didn't like Smith not getting fired with Kubiak. Because McNair recovered from cancer.

To be clear, I mean this kind of blood, not injured:

The Redskins offense looked really bad this preseason (same for the Texans). However, I still think the Texans defense can get the job done enough that we can win via a 13-10 score.

I really hope the offensive line isn't as bad as it looked in the preseason, but RT and LG spots scare the hell out of me.

I love Aj.... hope like hell he retires a Texans & gets into the HOF

But... he played with such a fierce intensity that year & that's the only year he played like that. Like he wasn't going to be denied, like he not only put the team on his back, but he wanted it on his back.

Great guy, great football player, but we need to see that guy again.

OHMYGOD we're gonna win 40 thousand billion to nuttin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd be really surprised if this team can put a goose egg on someone. I think that would be quite a statement... if they were looking to make a statement.

Yep! He wouldn't be mentioned as a HOF'er if he hadn't played with that intensity from the get go. Unfortunately, the Texans haven't put him in a ton of situations to make big scoring plays.

Well, one things for sure, let's hope Fitzypoo doesn't go down with an injury Sunday.

I never thought I'd ever type that, but I just did.

I hope he dont come down with pickinitis and play. Would rather him take the day off if he does ;)

Ok, so I'm an official card-carrying season 2014 Texans Doomer, but even I think we win this one. 20-10 to the good guys.

PFF Preview: Redskins @ Texans, Week 1
As the 2014 regular season kicks off this Sunday, Jay Gruden and Bill O’brien hope to start their NFL head coaching debuts off on the right foot, as they both look to return their respected franchises to the playoffs.

J.J. Watt broke the bank this week after signing a contract that exceeds $100 million, a deal he certainly earned, as he not only graded out as the top 3-4 defensive end in the NFL with an overall grade of +99.8, but also received grades of +57.0 when rushing the quarterback and +42.8 against the run. Both of which were tops for all 3-4 defensive ends.

As Redskins fans hope Robert Griffin III can return to old form and stay healthy, they certainly need to be weary of J.J. Watt and the explosive No. 1 overall pick, Jadeveon Clowney. That being said, the Redskins’ offensive line unit in 2013 held up well in pass blocking, as they finished the season with a grade of +23.9, good for fourth in the league.

Here are three more notable numbers for each side:

Washington Redskins

O-Line – The Redskins’ offensive line finished seventh in the league in Pass Blocking Efficiency (PBE), at 80.6.

DeSean Jackson – As DeSeason Jackson makes the transition from Philadelphia to Washington; Griffin is hoping he is capable of repeating his stellar 2013 season as he finished the season rated eighth among receivers, boasting a grade of +15.6.

Defense – As a unit, the Redskins run defense has to be better in 2014 as they posted a -99.5 run defense grade good for second-worst in the league, behind only the Chicago Bears.

Houston Texans

Secondary - Johnathan Joseph hopes to lead an improved secondary that struggled in 2013, as they finished the season sixth-worst in pass coverage with a cumulative grade of -36.3.

Arian Foster - Although Foster only had 121 attempts in 2013; he managed a respectable 4.5 average yards per attempt.

Andre Johnson – Although there are talks of a disgruntled Johnson in Houston, you can bet this ultimate competitor is going to continue to produce as he did in 2013, posting a +15.4 overall Wide Receiver rating, good for 9th in the league.

Read bottom to top:

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock · 22h

IF Garrett Graham doesn't play, I could easily see CJ Fiedorowicz with 6 catches for 50-60 yards and a TD in his first game.

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock · 23h

I also like Fiedorowicz & Griffin on the field, more. Both are better blockers, true TEs and more than capable receivers.

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock · 23h

Obviously, the team could abandon any personnel grouping that requires 3 TEs in a package, but I personally wouldn't limit the playbook.

Jayson Braddock @JaysonBraddock · 23h

IF Graham is out, Texans will need to either make Tyson Clabo the 3rd TE in goal line packages, new OT Jeff Adams, or promote Denham from PS

I know predicting J.J. to be a difference maker is hardly dusting off the crystal ball. But how big a motivation do you think it is for him to go into week 1 and prove to everyone that not only his he worth his shiny, new, zero-laden contract, but also that money isn't the only thing important thing to him about playing in the NFL?

I believe we will see the anti-Haynesworth effect tomorrow, gentlemen. I'm glad The Incredible Captain HulkAmerica is on our side.

This game is, a, big mystery to me idk wtf is, going to happen that's why I can't wait to watch it livvvee.

Ask Porky ... but I think you're going to have to scratch the affected area to find out. Rumor has it he kicks his hoof.
