Owen Daniels

handswarmer

Rookie
I've been waiting to see what he can do since he was so effective in Houston under Kub's but he hasn't practiced in 2-3 weeks due to "leg soreness"

I tried looking up his history but is often injured?

Dinged but plays? or misses game here and there?

I was actually shocked he is only 31

He'll play if possible but he has gotten dinged several times. Excellent at finding spaces and route running with great hands but he isn't the fastest guy around and is an average at best blocker. If he's healthy he's a real asset - sneaky good. You watch him and nothing stands out and then particularly with Kubiak's scheming all the sudden he's wide open 30 yds down field without a defender in the picture.

He really needs to work on his touchdown celebrations.

Let's just say he's got no rhythm.

Looks like Daniels will make the 53, as former Texan practice squader Phillip Supernaw was released by the Ravens. When healthy, Daniels was the Texans 2nd best receiver pretty much throughout his career here. Just wasn't healthy all the time.

One year, he was on his way to setting records for TE receptions and then he got injured and missed the rest of the year. He's been dinged up and easily injured ever since then.

He is a sneaky route runner who always seems to be running free with no one around him. And his hands are freaking sick. At his peak, he was making catches that were like magic.

Maybe he can teach Pita the secret to getting open. I hope so, Pita is on my F/F team
:D

I never noticed how great of a route runner OD was until I started to watch Graham more extensively. He also has excellent hands. I think his lack of athleticism is what held him back from being elite.

I wish we coulda kept OD. I know he was making too much, but he looks pretty good for 3 knee surgerys.

kubes system is TE and FB friendly he can make anyone look good in that Position
