Sweet jesus, the "provide a link" gauntlet. Google it. He said that he'd probably trade the number one pick, but that Manziel is an exciting player. No, that is not flat-out saying he wants to play for him, but it's not that hard of a reach.
I love Andre, but, if he wants to go, GO. If he's sick of losing, I definitely respect and understand that, but, he should have made his thoughts known to Gary loser Kubiak.
Sweet Jesus? Are you dating my gardener? So even though you admit Johnson never said he loved Manziel or wanted to play with him, you want me to Google something that was never said and wade through a bunch of articles that do not contain the information you asserted? Thanks, but I have more important things to do. If you made the assertion, you are responsible for backing it up.
Have y'all seen this:
Texans Bias @TexansBias
Word around the league is Andre wants a black quarterback or he won't play for the Texans. Texans will be taking a good look at Vince Young
Texans Bias @TexansBias
Byron Leftwich will be privately working out for the Texans by the end of the week. #Texans #NFL
Let me guess... @TexansBias is black?
Wanna see another Andre quote? (Well, okay, technically not another since you didn't actually provide one).

Now here's "another" Andre Quote:
LINK
I don't see that much difference between them (the first is about Case BTW).
I think reading anything into an athlete's response to one specific question is almost always a reach. If Andre wanted make his love for Manziel known, I don't think you'd currently be making excuses about a fairly standard request (at this board anyway) for a link.
Great post!
houstonspartan knew he was reaching in the first place and that is why he did not provide a link initially. We all know most players say nice things about each other to the media when asked. Would not make much sense to criticize Manziel since there was a chance, even though it was a small chance the Texans might draft Manziel. Would not have been very smart on AJ's part to start that relationship off with criticism. If he truly loved, and wanted to play with Manziel, he would have been seeking out the media, commenting endlessly about how nice it would be to play with Manziel.
I have changed my mind and now believe that it probably is all about money as some have suggested recently, nothing more. He is not making as much as his peers and he wants more. I say give it to him, make him happy and move on. Don't need distractions like this with a new HC, new system and new players as the season looms. And yes I understand the message it sends to other players, but when they start performing like AJ, they can ask for special treatment too. Until then play football and prove you are worth the money. Who can deny AJ is worth the money?
