Football Gameplan's 2014 Inside the War Room - Texans

If Texans could draft these guys they would certainly fill needs & plug holes. I'm glad you support Bridgewater, Texans need a QB above all else. Would jump on Martin if still on the board. Early would rotate in DE, Dixon helps secondary, Muprhy is perfect 3-4 OLB in Vrabel mold, banger in backfield good fit, Scove next to Cushing heck yeah, Butler is a good looking WR prospect ala Jennings, Coleman could rotate add depth to NT position, your reaching too far down to expect Sankey here, take him over Hill, last but least Lawson reminds me a lot of Glover Quin who transitioned to Safety a fine competitive player. nice :)

Thanks gang! How's the scene down that way with regards to the #1 pick.. Are you guys seeing more support for Clowney or QB?

I think it's pretty balanced between the Clowney guys & the QB guys (but they're divided).

"This mock draft is in no way indicative of where I think these players will go in May's draft"... mmmkay.

I like what you are doing EmDiggy, but you should take this statement out of your videos. It confuses the process, especially when guys like Ealy and Murphy are more highly rated prospects than where you have them being selected. It's fine if that's where you see them falling, but combined with the above statement it is a bit confusing as to if this is a mock or a wish list.

Thanks for sharing.

'Preciate that TS! I feel as though I have to put that in there because when I simply say "My mock drafts are based off what I would do as the GM and not what I think will happen" I used to get 'so-and-so won't drop that far'..when clearly I said in the beginning that its not based off where they will go

I'm not a fan of mock drafts that try to predict..to me, that's a wasteful exercise. Instead I like to share my thought process on why I like player x over player y etc..

As far as this particular mock goes.. Its extrapolated from a 32 team 7 round mock draft where I picked for every team judging off of my perceived team needs & values of who was left on my big board.

Long story short…that's why I had to put that in there lol

I think that you went about it in the best way. You can't try to predict what a GM will do when you don't know their thought process. Mocking with your own big board is more exciting anyway. I thought you made it clear that it was based off of your rankings when you explained that the picks were made off of your big board. Maybe the above statement is just unnecessary. I may have misunderstood it when I watched it though.

No doubt TS! Maybe you're right and I have to find a better way to illustrate it…but, like you said, it's much more fun to do it using your own. And it's a good way to share how you tend to evaluate.

Wish everyone used your "Big Board". Would love to discuss in more detail, pub yet to be determind.:barman:

In a perfect world they would :) Here's the link to it if you haven't seen it --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMhhCKB5qG4
