I think most agree that we're in rebuilding mode, not reloading contrary to what McNair thinks, and that this will probably take 2-3 yrs.. Just in time for Super Bowl LI in 2017 in Houston Texas. Would you be willing to do a one sided draft to fix at least one side of the ball, provided we have a great draft and this looks like a really deep one, instead of doing a patchwork on both sides of the ball that really won't fix anything. 4 options:
1. All offense draft that fixes our O-line, and QB while adding depth to our TE's, WR's, and RB's. Possibly even finding Fosters future replacement. This would mean rolling with what we've got for a year on defense though. Fewer but more important holes on offense means a better fix and future depth.
2. All defense draft that fixes our D-line, LB corps. (front 7), while adding depth to our CB's and upgrading our Safeties. This would mean finding a cheap FA QB or rolling with what we've got for a year on offense though. More holes thus more need, and we could fix the offense in 2015 when there's a better selection of QB's to choose from.
3. A normal draft that tries to spread the picks around filling a few holes but fixing nothing, it's a patchwork with all the holes we have.
4. A trade down picking up even more 2nd and 3rd round picks to really add great depth to either side of the ball.
Example on Offense: It doesn't have to be these players specifically, you can use your own favorites, but you get the idea.
1. Teddy Bridgewater-QB
2. Austin Seferian-Jenkins-TE
3. Brandon Thomas-OG/OT
4. JaWaun James-OT
5. Andre Williams-RB
5b. Storm Johnson-RB
6. Cody Latimer-WR
7. Justin Britt-OT
Example on Defense:
1. Jadeveon Clowney-OLB
2. Stephon Tuitt-DE
3. Telvin Smith-OLB/ILB
4. DaQuan Jones-NT
5. Kenny Ladler-FS
5b. Phillip Gaines-CB
6. Ross Cockrell-CB
7. DeAndre Coleman-DT/DE
