there is thins wonderful thing called a Debit Card ..is this card your bank gives u to use a means to not carry cash around
You know, when I saw the title that's the first thought I had...
But I'm sure that it was just some individual redistributing the wealth from someone who didn't earn it to someone else who didn't earn it.People shouldn't steal from the homeless.![]()
While carrying around 50k isnt common making millions a year isnt either. Carrying large sums of cash certainly doesnt equal drug deals
So that would make this the first time Ed Reed has been intercepted?
Eye for an eye after he stole $5 million from us.
Ok, why else would someone withdraw $50,000.00 from a bank, stick it in a bag, and carry the damn thing around in his car?
I can't fathom the cops not asking him that question. And "being rich" wouldn't do it. I guess the hookers have raised their rates in these hard times.
Well , he did steal ~$5m from Bob McNair .... what comes around goes around.

Reed has been robbed twice in 54 weeks - his home in Maryland was robbed last year during Super Bowl week when he was in NOLA w/ the Ravens
Ed Reed was moving out of his apartment in Houston and closing bank accounts when he was robbed of $50K. tough year for him in that regard

Reed, who played last season for the Houston Texans and New York Jets, told police he withdrew $50,000 from one bank and drove to another bank, presumably to make another transaction.
The future Hall of Famer left the money on the passenger seat of his gray 2006 Audi, registered in Florida. When he returned to the car, the passenger window was smashed and the money was gone, according to the police report.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. The police report said the cash was in a "bag," although it was described as an "envelope" in another report, a police spokesperson said.
Police believe Reed was followed from one bank to the next. The report didn't state why he was carrying such a large amount of cash. The investigation is ongoing.
You know, it's really fked up that people see this story and the first thing in their head is to wonder why he didn't have it in a bank, or why he had the money in cash. It's his money, and he doesn't have to loan it to a bank unsecured. This creation of a culture where people walking around with cash are suspect is beyond fked up.
Now, he's a dumbass for leaving it in his car. Most people take valuables of much less value out of their car when they leave it. It's not a secure location. But then again, $50K to him is probably about like $50 to us. At least, for now.![]()
I was thinking the same exact thing. Let the man carry $1 million in cash if he wants to, it's his money. Heck I would do the same thing, it's not like banks are any safer.

Well lets be honest instead of jumping out of a window. Banks are safer than just carrying cash around in your car or house for that matter
I know banks are safer than carrying big amounts of cash around, but it happens quite often that people who carry huge amounts of cash all of sudden are assumed they are doing something "suspicious".
All I meant was that it shouldn't be assumed right away that he was on his way to a drug deal.

Or was it? Maybe it was a snatch job while he was in the car.Even though I hate to be the grammer Nazi.... He wasn't robbed...His car was burglarized.
Houston police are looking for the person who smashed out a window and stole a bag of cash from the front seat of a car belonging to a former Houston Texan.
Where was Ed?The first sentence of the article reveals that his car was burglarized:
