NFL playoffs 2013-14

Awesome post. I wanted to cheer on the Seahawks but you are right, dam fans are up there with the Pats and Cowturd fans. They act like they have been here before. I guess I will go with my childhood second team, the 9ers the rest of the way.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fans feeling like the Seahawks were screwed the last time they were in the Super Bowl.

The only fans that consistently bother me are the damn Red Sox bandwagoners.

How could you not like a guy with this much swag...?

Because this guy used the backs of USC athletics to get back into the NFL while leaving USC football in disarray. He screwed them over and never looked back. So forgive me for not applauding his "swag".

While Manning was under pressure on just 8.3% of his dropbacks, every other QB was under pressure at least 20% of the time this weekend.

Peyton Manning was under pressure on just 3 of 36 dropbacks yesterday, going 3-for-3 for 40 yards and a touchdown.

I don't really like any of the four teams left. But as long as Tom Brady and the Pats go down in flames I can live with any of the outcome.

I want to like Seattle over San Fran but Seahawks fans are getting obnoxious (almost more so than Boston fans), the team is restricting sales of tickets next week to Pacific Northwest states to gain even more of an advantage (sound positively Belichickian), and that makes it hard.

And Denver? With Manning it's harder for me to root for them but I'd take them a million times over the Brady-Belichick Evil Empire. I'd even root for the COWBOYS over the Pats.

Ironically, I have had the complete opposite experience. 49ers fans have been so over the top on some sport groups I'm in that I find myself rooting against them. Heard enough of 'Who has it better than us...Noooooobody!' from them. Not to mention the excuses they throw out there regarding their losses and basically saying Kaepernick is an elite quarterback.

Guess the story in the end is that it's rarely an easy task finding an objective fan.

Going for the Pats or the Broncos since Carolina is out. Don't like the 9ers or the Seahawks.

Don't like any of the teams left, so I'm just going to watch the games and enjoy some football.

NE - self explanatory, even though Brady and Belichick are great at what they do.
Den - Peyton is a genius, one of the best ever, but I'm tired of the special treatment he gets from the refs.
SF - can't stand their coach
Sea - can't stand their coach and I'm getting tired of how cocky they are. Bordering on classless.

Pretty sure Reggie Bush is the one who screwed USC over and never looked back. Carroll was never implicated in that scandal.

Was it bad timing when he left? Sure. But can he control when a NFL team will offer him a job?...

Disarray? No, that was Lane Kiffin's doing. The sanctions sucked, but it's hard to prove that he let Reggie Bush get away with all that stuff. Nobody else on the team was found to be taking cars and homes from boosters for free.

In 14 Manning-Brady games, the Patriots have led for 493 minutes & 6 seconds (57.8%) compared to 155 min. & 16 seconds for Manning's team.

IIRC it was the RB coach who was implicated in the scandal and Carroll was not involved in any way.

You win you go on, you lose you go home

We’re going to play this one game at a time

We're playing with confidence

Gotta win the turnover battle

There's no love lost between these teams

We have to play the whole 60 minutes

NFC: Colin Kaepernick and Russell Wilson combined for a total of 1063 yards rushing this year.

AFC: Tom Brady and Peyton Manning combined for a total of -13 yards rushing this year.

Where are all the good, old, running (vs. pocket) QBs? :hmmm:

Peyton Manning: "Bill Belichick is the best coach I've competed against and I think it's safe to say he'll go down as the greatest NFL coach of all-time"

It's insane. Wilson or Kaepernick will be playing Manning or Brady in the Super Bowl.

New School vs the GOAT

That is crazy. I never thought of it until Playoffs posted the running stats of all 4 qbs. The pure pocket passers vs. the running qbs.

I was going for Cincinnati but they let me down. Might as well let Payton or Brady get their last ring.

Really? Cincinnati?

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders - The most famous of which is "never get involved in a land war in Asia" - but only slightly less well-known is this: "Never bet on Cincy in the play-offs"! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha...

I'm rooting for Brady this weekend, but I'll root for the AFC in the Super Bowl. I'm a curmudgeon about all this 'running QB' hype.

Manning and Brady are two of the greatest QBs in league history, and it's been a joy to watch them play...'cept when they put a whooping on our Texans. At least I can tell the grandkids that I saw both in person.

"Death of the pocket passer" was announced a decade ago like it's being announced these days. yeeeeeah, riiiiiiiight.

Why last?

Well it's been a while since they each won a Super Bowl. So who knows if one of them will win one this year. Plus they are both getting up there in age which I believe they are almost 40. Who knows how long they have left in the NFL.

Manning - Brady.

I foresee many defensive penalties come Sunday in Denver. I just hope they divide the referee's up equally between pro-Brady and pro-Manning.

:penalty:

Tom Brady missed practice yesterday in what team officials are saying is his regular monthly menstruation. He will be ready for the game Sunday but may be a bit moody.

Schaub (2.75) was 33rd/41, Keenum (2.97) 40th/41. >25% snaps.

Scrambling plays into this with some.

OB has said that he wants a QB who makes FAST and correct decisions.

So.

You know.

There you go.

I expect Schaub to be gone. I don't know about Case but if he can't speed up his decisions, he'll be sent packing, too.

Denver's motivational guest speaker at its team meeting Saturday night was former Patriots WR Wes Welker, per team officials.

Fun fact about #Omaha: Tom Brady was saying it in 2001. Eli Manning was saying it 5-6 years ago. And it comes from Bill Parcells’ playbook

I'd like to see Seattle win today. Between the Peyton Mountain Donkeys and the Brady Cry Babies I couldn't care less who wins that game, but I hope whoever does gets their ass whooped by Seattle in the Super Bowl.

Denver and San Francisco for me. But really I'm just hoping for good games.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a stinker in the AFC game just so I don't have to hear the press go on and on about how lucky we are to share air with these two QB's and how lucky we were to watch this epic battle. Blah.....blah....blah.

Anyway, good times. Should be interesting today.

I forget Manning doing this without Clady. Peyton only needs a 2.5 second LT.

And we have our first "Omaha".

Yeah, I'm hoping Seattle wins the Super Bowl myself.

I'm just sick of the QB is everything mentality. The QB is responsible for all wins and all losses, except when it's all the coaches fault or all the GMs fault or ALL the owner's fault...
