NFL playoffs 2013-14

Yeah that genius coach Sean Payton is so awesome. Calling screen after screen after screen and attempting a pointless FG with 4 minutes left.

Great decision-making, bro.

Question about the Seahawks -

What would you rank their offensive and defensive line? Average, above average, or top in league?

And for the defensive line - how much of the ranking is because of that backfield they have?

I am starting to wonder if perhaps with a "QB friendly league" if have an elite backfield and having an above average defensive line is the way the league will go. (Obviously that goes after solidifying the QB position...)

Just starting to think out loud...

What a stupid play by Coulston to end the game. He should have just stepped out of bounds and give. The Saints one last hope at a hail- Mary.

Guess I'll be a Seahawks fan for another week now. LOL

As to Indy and NE, is there any possible way they could both lose this game? I don't like either of them.

You hear what that announcer said earlier?

"It's amazing how loud this crowd is, but how QUIET they get when the team is on offense."

:stirpot:

I put a bet on the Seahawks to win it all in the preseason so I'm rooting for them.

Second time Brady has audibled into "call Bandit"... center calls "Bandit" and it's a draw up the middle. Fool me once...

Since 2001, Patriots are 80-0 at home when leading by 8+ points at any time in game.

If I could conjure up a scenario where both teams would be destroyed by a meteor with all their insipid fans dying with their ****ing teams I would do it.

In a heartbeat.

Luck looks like a future HOF in one drive and then looks like Ryan Fitzpatrick on the next. The dude is good but damn he needs to cut down on the turnovers if he ever is going to be considered great.

Damn Thorn. It's only football.

I know. But I'm kind of an *******. A big one. So I hope they all die. LOL

It's a tough job being an *******, but it's something I do well.

stupid asterisks. Read a$$hole with the asterisks. LOL

After watching these two games the more it makes me think about the 3 most important things in order to win a Super Bowl. A great QB, a great D, and a great coach.

What's amazing to me is that this is the first time i've seen a team just demolish the Colts by running it over and over. I don't know why no one else has seen that the Colts D line is built for the pass and can't stop the run. The Texans did it once when Manning was still a Colt and has since not. The Pats don't even have a great running game but just ran it 40+ times and ate them alive.

It does help that Andrew Luck is not that accurate and looked like Schaub out there.

Man watching the colts battle

just made me feel I wish the Texans had another crack at dem Patriots that should of been us playing right now IMO not these dolts

Go Pats. Belichick is a genius. How you get to the afc championship with the team they have is just an amazing feat. Anytime someone says "yeah but injuries..." I'm going to sigh and remind them of this team

I despise the colts. So happy to see them get embarassed

I despise the Colts too, but there is no team I have ever despised more, in any sport, than the Brady-Belichick Patriots. (Not the Colts, not the Cowboys, not the Yankees, no one.) I wasn't too bummed to see the Colts go down in flames, but I really need a Denver win tonight (even though I don't care for the Fighting Peytons either) because the AFC championship can not be allowed to happen in Foxboro. A SD win tonight would basically hand a Super Bowl appearance to Darth Belichick, the sainted Golden Boy and the Evil Empire. I simply can not stand that team.

#$%$#(#*%&%&#(@)( No it works just fine thanks !

And if you're refering to the fact that i did not upper case Indy, well then i'm sorry. I'm not writing a book.

Relax, it was a joke.

Anyway, I don't get the hate of Indy and NE. It sounds like jealousy to me, but whatever.

So hows suck for luck working out for you now indy...

The guy can't do everything. He single handedly beat KC and his team put him in the same position against NE. And he failed. Which is predictable because NE is notorious for taking these one-man teams and turning them inside out.

He is the sole reason that Indy made the playoffs the last 2 years. He did not play well last night, but I cannot blame him for trying to make plays when he's literally the only thing going for his team. The defense is awful, the O-Line can't block, the RB's suck, and his only weapon is a 5'10 slot WR.

Indy needs to get him some help bad, but oh wait, they already traded their 1st round pick for a backup RB.

Why the hell did Colston do that for?

WTF? Colston, what an idiot. LOL

I've seen some boneheaded plays and have forgotten more than I care to remember, but that one HAS to be in my top 5 of all time. I mean, that was off-the-charts stupid.

***********

If San Francisco can get revenge on the Panthers I'll be a happy camper.

After seeing New England as the winner of last night's NFL version of Iran vs Iraq, I find myself pulling for Denver in a big way. No matter who won the Indy-NE game I would be SO against them next week it isn't funny. I pull for Denver because if San Diego wins today New England is as good as in.

So unlike yesterday, where I only halfheartedly pulled for New Orleans and didn't care who won the nightcap, today I have definite hopes for the Niners and Broncos.

Case Keenum almost beat KC with 0 RBs and 1 TE.....just saying.

Plus KC lost that game all on their own, you dont get soft the start of the 2nd half because you have a lead. Reid went all Kubiak on that game. The defense started playing a soft zone, KC went entirely away from what got them the big lead in the first place.

Plus Luck dont help himself by throwing as many picks in the play-offs as he did. Including 4 alone vs the Pats, that is not exactly putting ur team in position to win.

I'm not absolving him of turning the ball over. What I'm saying is that, when you are singularly tasked with carrying your team to victory, turnovers will happen. He made some great throws during that game, but with no defense and no running game he literally had to do everything if they were going to win.

As for the actual INT's, the first one was awful. The second was not his fault, RB tipped it to defender (very reminiscent of Martin pick against JAX). The third was bad, as it was forced into double coverage. The fourth was not his fault, WR admitted to running the wrong route.

Brady has done it with a bunch of nobodys and some terrible defenses, all i am saying is that people here who think luck is already in the HOF need to realize he isnt yet. Not talking to you specifically but the man crush around here on luck is making me sick...

So far in his NFL career he has been pretty good, but not great.

Brady had a great defense behind him when he won his first SB. In recent years it has been all him, but early in his career he was able to lean on his team for support. Luck doesn't have that luxury.

I haven't put Luck in the HOF just yet, but I do think he will be the next great QB in the NFL. I think the guys who rag on him are just pissed that he plays for the Colts, although I understand some guys get burnout from the media hype. JMO.

I really think Carolina has a better shot in this game than most people think. Two keys:

-Newton takes care of the ball
-Defense contains Kaepernick's legs

I really don't see Kaepernick beating this defense with his arm.

Just lost a little respect for Cam Newton and his socceresque flop. If that were a Texan QB I'd feel the same way.

*******

Next time Carolina gets close they will surprise only the Niner D with a short pass for the TD.
