2014 National Championship: Florida State vs. Auburn

Love Jameis. Never dropped his head, never lost his eyes... stayed with it while coaches figure out how to counter. Competitor. Me want. But dude will never be much of a run threat in the NFL... which is good. Pocket movement.
 
The BCS film room version of this game is so much more enjoyable than listening to the talking heads. It's a shame we can't get this more often.

Glad to see Auburn showing they definitely belong in the game after hearing about how great Florida State is all day.

As lousy as the Seminoles are playing they are right in this game. Auburn should have gone for the throat when they has them down by 18.

Did they have the chance to? Jimbo went for the fake punt down 21-3... That was after an Auburn TD and that was the drive FSU scored their first TD. I think he was afraid of being blown out early.
 
Anybody else get the feeling FSU might try another trick play soon? Only thing that has worked for them so far.

I say it every time I watch an FSU game....get Freeman involved.

As I say that he gets a 15 yard penalty to end any chance of a 2-pt conversion.
 
I was about to say 'why is auburn running the same sweep play?' Wow now lets see if fsu can rise to the occasion. This a great game.

Special is still in play if auburn QB throws a pick with 13 seconds to go.

I guess predicting a QB throwing a Matt Schaub special is only easy to predict when Matt Schaub is the QB.

Big time turnaround by Winston. Still not as impressed with him from what I saw as I thought I'd be, but he turned it on when it counted.
 
Great win for FSU. First time in eight years that an SEC team didn't win the National Championship.
 
That was a sweet game, down to the wire. Could not have asked for a better finale.

Congrats to Florida State!
 
Right about now Auburn is talking to the Devil asking "I thought we had a deal!?" The Devil is responding, "Who do you think I am, God?" :tiphat:
 
Yeah Jameis Winston looks like the real deal Holyfield. His draft is definitely going to have some tank jobs dedicated to getting him provides nothing else comes out about his "activities"

Jernigan said after the game that he had a fever all weekend and that he took some medication before the game that had him feeling nauseated. Probably partially explains it.
 
I was shocked to hear the Seminoles won the next morning. I watched the 1st half and a little of the 3rd. FLST looked lost. Auburn was playing with emotion and everything seemed to be fooling the noles.

I thought FLST would win because they were the best team, and they proved it last night. Glad to hear Winston got his act together in the 2nd half, but this win was a team win with the defense holding Auburn to 10 in the 2nd half, and special teams getting a score to put them ahead. Congrats Florida State.
