If someone calls you out for using personal attacks, the proper response is not to immediately commit personal attacks against that person, hope it helps.
I KNEW you'd catch that JB!
Good to see you posting again.
I never knew Ozzie Smith was involved in football

Who am I calling out by using a personal attack? Who attacked me personally? I certainly didn't feel attacked personally, nor did I mean to attack you personally.
I did mean to raise these questions about how much Texans football you watch and how you can have such an allegiance to Rick Smith, when under his leadership the Texans currently are on track to have the worst record in the NFL? How can you possibly think Rick has done a creditable job this yr?
He's the reason this team is and will remain in cap hell for the next 2-3 yrs and this doesn't even mention his spotty draft record as evidenced by his lack of accumen when it comes to drafting the position he played in college.
To think you want a guy like this leading the franchise is what made me ask these questions. Sorry you took it personally. I certainly didn't mean to attack you. I'm not that kind of poster.
Whoops, nice catch.
You're allowing the emotions to get the better of you this season; this is a team that just won the AFC South two years running, and with a rival team going over .500 at the same time. Pointing to Smith as the problem when rapidly-regressed QB play, being forced to start a UDFA at quarterback, freak injuries to starters and draft picks alike, etc., are far more to blame.
The Cowboys and Washington are in actual cap hell, not a perceived one.
Your immediate attempts to label me as someone who doesn't watch our team play or being a Rick Smith 'fan' are examples of personal attacks. Hope this helps.
For the last 2 years this team while losing a handful starters every year has only been able to replace lost contracts with vet minimums. Along w/ major spending and borrowing in 2011, Peyton's broken neck, Jeff Fisher's departure and a weak schedule enable Texans to make noticeable improvements in 11' & 12'. The Texans have started last 3 years w/o enough money to pay the minimum financial obligations and have borrowed from future every year in order to do do. That's Cap Hell. Rick Smith is Gary Kubiak's right hand man. Nothing more and is terribly inexperienced in matters of the NFL. That is understandable.
Whoops, nice catch.

See, I don't necessarily agree, but I appreciate that you said all this without accusing me of anything.![]()
spare you the pics. heartbroken that Kubiak didn't realize his/our dream :kubepalm:
1st. Teddy Bridgwater, QB, Louisville, 6025 209
I'm going to change his measureables off eyeball test but that doesn't change anything in my mind & that is he will still be the #1 rated QB on most NFL Big Boards & QB is the Texans most dire need.
2nd. Antonio Richardson, OT, Tennessee, 6060 332
No fudging the numbers needed here, he is all that maybe more? with his intentions now public that he is coming out early he should be graded out in the 28-34 overall range. RT with a franchise rookie QB ascends quickly to #2 need.
3rd. Greg Blair, ILB, Cincinnati, 6005 248
Splitting hairs but you know he will be working hard to run a hard 40 time. He is ascending player, could break into 2nd rd. & alot of us are desperate to upgrade ILB position, regardless of Cushing production moving forward. Big bang for rookie in position helps return defense back to elite. Reminds me of Willis.
4th. Ryan Carrethers, NT, Arkansas State, 6010 328
Physical frontline enforcer who can engage a Center & Guard allowing more space for teammates to penetrate & disrupt offensive flow. Strong, durable does have a good motor to develop. Expect local player, Earl Mitchell to resign.
5th. CJ Barnett, FS, Ohio State, 6000 203
Ohio State in BCS against Florida State? Stay tuned. But after game in Jacksonville who could blame me for bumping up Safety position. Space eater with range who is clean & willing hard worker.
6th. Antonio Andrews, RB/KR, Western Kentucky, 5-11 212
SEC battle tested went to combination back/returner. Leeds the nation in all purpose yardage with 218.3 yards per game. Use 7th in combination with 6th to move back up into 5th which Rick Smith has been known to do & this is optimum value pick. Also like to say Dennis Johnson is a nice developmental back in rotation.
7th. Rashaad Reynolds, CB, Oregon State, 5-10 187
Beavers are under ratedOK, played against some great College QB's & Oregon State produces excellent ones. Really like Poyer last year thought he would go much higher than he did 7th so don't tell me Reynolds won't still be there. Regardless we need nickle & corner help this would be a good player to add on the Texan roster next season. Here is a short interview -

Love it. Especially picks 2 & 6. Andrews is my personal pick for late round sleeper this year at RB.
what Teddy needs to improve-
* recognizing coverage
* adding core strength
* more decisive in progressions
* needs to declare for the 2014 draft
2 out of 7?
no luv for Teddy or Blair who both showed well last night?
If you choose to be a scout (you have most of the attributes) you must dismiss alliances or conflicts of interests in respect to schools. Heck Braxton Miller is looking sweet. Texans could go Clowney then Miller in 2nd. Very impressive, but is he Texan Worthy?
I was only kidding with the Barnett comment. Was just playing my part as the Michigan fan. I actually liked his teammate Christian Bryant more, but he's been out all year with an injury.
Miller is extremely raw as a passer. He really needs to go back for his senior year.
