Houston Texans @ San Francisco 49ers. 7:30. 10/6. NBC. **Official GameDay Thread**

Now would be a good time for a turnover. Our only chance to get back in this game.

Nope. The Texans are done here. The only remaining question is what the final score will be and whether or not Carr can pick up some stats in garbage time..... oh wait, sorry I was having a flashback.

Duuuude, that's cold. "Who has the better odds to score right now, Texans or Niners"

It's true... but cold.

Can they have that play on repeat in the Texans locker room?

Dude, not trying to be rude because usually you are on point, but you are completely clueless on this one. It was PI and an obvious one.

Well it doesn't matter anyway we are getting are ass kick as usual on Sunday night.

Wtf with official fumble.

Agreed. It was a pi. And im a homer

Well guys this really really sucks. I cant believe that we all cheer for this team as much as we do, and yet there is nothing we can do. Schaub throws pick after pick after pick and nothing. We are on our way to 2-3 unless we see a miracle come back, even if we come back and win major changes need to be made.

I cheer for them because I love them. Someone needs to photoshop a schaub on a spit being roasted over the burning schaub jersey...:roast:

Yeah, it's a habit he seems to have and he gets away with it sometimes but he's gonna have to cut that out. Officials are going to start looking for it when the ball comes his way if he doesn't learn not to do that.

Here is how I'd summarize the first half of this game:

what BS. Their guy hit the ball out of the Refs hands. A good head coach would be chewing the ref out right now so bad...so would a good coach.

Mr Pick 6 and Gary don't have a competetive bone between them.

Martin and Keo are average and ordinary as returners.

I disagree. Martin makes poor decisions on a regular basis and doesn't seem to have gotten any better since he started doing this. Keo I think might have an edge on Martin and may in fact be "average".

Does an officials fumble show up on the stat sheet. LOL.

If Schaub takes another snap tonight I turn this travesty off and put on breaking Bad Season 5. Time to call Saul......

*******ing terrible half of football. The only good thing about it: Matt Schaub could get benched at the half?

On the bright side, if you take away the pick 6 & the TD scored on the INT, the defense only gave up 7 points. They've played well enough to win if you take away all but 5 minutes they've been on the field.

I'm done with Schaub. Until he tears it up in the playoffs I'm done with him.

Problem is, I don't think they even make the playoffs with Schaub as QB. CBs are playing with him, sitting on WRs routes and jumping them.

Inaccurate throws create poor habits for competitive football players.

I have that feeling but I don't think I know enough about the game to really be able to say that. It sure feels like they know exactly what we're going to do. I almost never see a Texans receiver bust wide open. Maybe it happens more than I remember but I don't remember seeing it very often. I tend to only watch our games and today I watched a couple of other games because we weren't on. In all three of them I remember thinking repeatedly that I was seeing things we just can't seem to do on offense.

I think it's probably a subset of both the defenses being on to our system and the defenses being on to what Schaub tends to screw up on.

That's exactly what it is....teams are dropping in a soft zone, taking away everything that's remotely deep and taking their chances with their cb's jumping the short routes.....which is why we keep throwing short on 3rd and long.

Compounding the problem is that we cant pass protect for very long to let anything develop deep and schaub cant extend plays....when pressure is upon him that is...

Teams have been doing this to us since the 1st NE game and kubiak has yet to be able solve it...

This is on Kubes as well. If they aren't going to call the plays to stretch the defense, then the CBs will eat him alive. That said, Schaub is still responsible for the throws.

That's been the problem with all our games.

We keep wondering "If Matt didn't throw that INT..."

Man I have no problem with throwing a INT. If it's a 40 yard bomb that the CB has to jump up with Hopkins/Dre to get then fine.

But these are because Schaub is misreading the defense.

Nah...defense isn't playing well enough to win.

They have to pitch a shutout and maybe do some scoring as we clearly aren't winning this game right now. Hence they aren't doing enough.

I'd call that a sane bet, maybe not a good one, but a sane one nonetheless. I'll say he's one and done if the Texans don't score on the chance he gets. That's probably just hope talking, but that's all I got for now.

This. And the bootleg has been our only source of the deep ball in the past and we seem to be moving further away from it. Not sure what needs to be done, but they need to find a way to stretch the defense again to open up the short routes.
