Houston Texans @ San Francisco 49ers. 7:30. 10/6. NBC. **Official GameDay Thread**

Unless Matt Schaub gets injured, we won't see Yates or Keenum play anytime this season. Kubiak is stubborn like that. I honestly don't think either backup QB is better than Schaub, which is damning for Kubiak since he didn't even try to get quality backup QBs blindly believing that "Schaub is our guy." Vince Young is out there looking for work :)

That was definitely offensive PI. That's what happens when you throw it inside on a deep route that is covered. Probably should have been intercepted.

Glad the 4th and 2 call worked out, but that was a bad decision, considering where they were on the field.

If they are going to lose this game, at least stretch the field. At least we stretch the defense to allow the underneath routes they love so much. Not sure why it took so many INTs to figure out they weren't throwing it downfield enough

Make the change at half. The battle is lost but the war is not. You bench Tate when he fumbles, time to send a real message...or lose the locker room, the war, and your job.

Negative.

Schaub doesn't have to go to the receivers he's going to if they're covered. Plus he has poor arm strength and can't zip the ball out like a big boy nfl QB.

Those guys have reads that largely tell them where the ball should go....sage spoke to this last week on mad radio......dre had 1 on 1 out there on his last pick...it was the right place to go with the ball.

And Schaub's always had average arm strength..never been on a streak like this......the fact that this guy all of a sudden starts chunking pick 6's left and right speaks to something else.

Teams are flat out manipulating kubiak's offense...

Schaub should do the honorable thing like Cougar in Top Gun and turn in his wings. He's lost his edge.

I was told by someone who may or may not have played for Marciano that his style of coaching was to always try and ridicule his players and embarrass them in front of everyone. Instead of trying harder to correct what caused a bad return (like poor blocking) he would go straight to the return guy and try to embarrass him. Stands to reason why an emotional player like Jacoby Jones would thrive in a different environment.

Can someone let me know when and where the next Rally for Schaub is. Please send the info to Jeff gillooly.

Oh oh I think I may have angered the Schaub mafia with that dig.

It's hard for the defense to give up when they are constantly having to go out on the field.

That's what they get paid for. Their either going to get manhandled by the guy in front of them or not. Whatever excuse they may have for letting themselves get punked, is just that, an excuse.

If they're tired, they need to come out of the game & let the back up take a couple of snaps, then get back to work.

You dont just fall off a cliff like this guy has over the last few games...teams are on to kubiak...forcing the check downs and the cb's are jumping the short stuff underneath...

I have that feeling but I don't think I know enough about the game to really be able to say that. It sure feels like they know exactly what we're going to do. I almost never see a Texans receiver bust wide open. Maybe it happens more than I remember but I don't remember seeing it very often. I tend to only watch our games and today I watched a couple of other games because we weren't on. In all three of them I remember thinking repeatedly that I was seeing things we just can't seem to do on offense.

I think it's probably a subset of both the defenses being on to our system and the defenses being on to what Schaub tends to screw up on.

So his hands bumped the defender And Hopkins jumped that's PI. Sorry no it wasn't.

Dude, not trying to be rude because usually you are on point, but you are completely clueless on this one. It was PI and an obvious one.

Antonio getting a little frustrated. Can't let that happen, frustration leads to mistakes, need to focus his chi & kick some butt.

Wrong. LOL. Good call. You can't use a guy's shoulder as a launching pad. Obvious call and a good one.

He didn't laugh they were just close together. Collinsworth called the the SF PI questionable she the defender was all over Andre his elbow was in his face before the ball got there.

Doesn't matter though it was a horrible throw.

I think it is a matter of playcalling. Our offense has become ultraconservative and it is now easy to predict where the ball is going. That's ultimately our problem. We have all the talent to make it happen, we just have been outsmarting ourselves with stupid playcalls.

Yeah, let's start a comeback. Why don't we throw a short completion to the middle from our 30 without a timeout...
