Week 4 VS Seahawks...Let's predict ;)

The Seahawks are supposedly playing without Okung, Giancomi, and Unger (Starting LT, RT, and C). This is going to be an ugly ****fest of a game.

Do you know how many starters the Ravens were missing?

If the texans run the ball well and the defense keeps playing strong
HOU 24
SEA 20

If they can't run and we have to rely on Matt Schmuck to pass then...
SEA 27
HOU 14

I'm not putting it all on Schaub, Brooks reed and mercilus need to show up and pressure Wilson. Joseph needs to stop playing like Kareem the rookie.

Will be very close. They both have pretty good offenses. But it will be the defenses that will win the game. Really hate to predict the score.

Don't get too excited. The Hawks backups have held up the fort pretty commendably, unlike what most of our backups can do.:mcnugget:

And Kareem needs to relearn to turn around again.......at least once in awhile anyway.

Texans win!!!

FU my friend @TheGuruStu!!! The 'Hawks (my NFC team) suck on the road. In the last 3 seasons, the 'Hawks are 7-17 which in those three seasons includes two playoff runs.....

WoooooHooooooooo!!!!

:koolaid:

I don't think there is anyway we win this game. I am expecting a double digit loss to a much better team. I don't think we stand a chance on Sunday.

This is a first for me because I truly believe we can beat anyone in the league when we play well but I don't see anyway we can beat the Seahawks who I consider the best team in the league.

I will watch on Sunday just as I always do but with tempered expectations. I picked Seattle in my NFL pickem which is the first time I've picked against the texans in three years.

Sorry to be a Debbie downer.

Seahawks 31
Houston 12 (4 FGs)

I really want the Texans to win, but I agree with this. I don't feel good about this game at all.

This board is going to be exploding with all kinds of hope and positive posts come about 3:30PM Sunday afternoon. I have a good feeling about this game !

People in here are giving the Seahawks WAY too much credit, and the Texans very little.

The hawks are awesome at home, but for some reason mediocre on the road (at best). Last season, they were undefeated at home, but 3-5 on the road. They lost to teams like the Cardinals, Rams, Lions, and Dolphins on the road. This season has started out no different. They are looking like the best team in the league when at home, but struggled to beat the Panthers on the road. You can say they are a tale of two different teams.

The hawks will also play without 3/5th of their offensive line (not to mention two of them are Unger and Okung).

This game is going to be a low-scoring slugfest, both offenses will struggle to score... and unfortunately for us, this game may come down to which special teams plays better.

These are the keys to the Texans winning:
- Make our 'makeable' field goals. Every point will count in this game, and I predict Bullock will pull through.
- Punt coverage!!! Besides the one return for a TD, our punt coverage has been awesome (mainly due to Lechler). We can't give away any easy points, and also win the field position game.
- Don't turn the ball over. I know fans won't like it, but I'm predicting an extremely conservative game plan on offense. I'm seeing 20+ carries for Arian, and 15+ for Ben. We can't give up any easy points.
- Stop the big play on defense. Fortunately for us, with their OL woes, I think we'll be able to do this.

I'm predicting a rushing TD by Foster, and 3 FGs by Bullock. The Seahawks will be held to a big play TD, and 2 FGs.

Texans 16
Seahawks 13

You do realize the Seahawks suck on the road. They should of never won the game in Carolina.. Hawks are only good at home.. I believe the Texans will win this game.. 21-14 Texans on top.

Hawks are 4-1 their last 5 road games... Pretty much squashes that whole Seahawks are a different team on the road theory.

It's going to be about mental toughness. Who can take a beating longer... who can keep up the longest. That's why we beat SanDiego & Tennessee. We played till the bell, never gave up. Against Balitmore, not so much. The pick 6 was like a shot to the gut, the punt returned for a TD, a hard right cross. The TD to open the half was like an upper cut. The first field goal in the 4th qtr... another body shot, the final field goal landed right on our chin.

We never really "gave up" but the fight was pretty one sided after half time.

Same thing happened in the divisional round vs New England. We're keeping our hands up (playing defense) but we've got to throw a few punches (offense) of our own.

So since "everyone" expects us to lose, it's no big deal right?

If we get blown out, we shouldn't see the Schaub, Kubiak, Marciano hate threads right?

Our expectations are so low we shouldn't be upset with an 8-8 season.

I have to tell you guys, over at Seahawks.net we're not nearly as confident in our team blowing your team out as you guys seem to be. Most of us are expecting a hard fought, defensive battle.

Hopefully it will be a good one, regardless of the outcome. Either way I'll be back Sunday night to say "good game". You guys have the classiest, most welcoming fans of any other opposing board I've visited so far. Cheers to you all!

I know. It's embarrasing.

It's more about how they feel about our team than yours. Think back to when Seneca Wallace was your starting QB... that's the kind of confidence some of us have in Schaub, then half of us never liked Kubiak & he soured on the other half.

It's going to be ugly. We don't have a 12th man, but damn near. You're not walking out of Reliant with a victory, if you're walking out at all.

We may not be surprised, but we would still be upset.

Fact is we are still in an offensive slump since last year, we are basically 5-5 since it started, and every game is brutal to watch offensively. So it's a concern for a lot of us.

Upon further consideration I think the score will be: Seahawks 100-Texans -3. Why -3 you ask? The Texans special team is so incompetent that I think we'll kick a field goal in our end netting us negative points.

Fact is that we're another team than the one that finished last season. A lot of the same players, a lot of the same problems, but a new team. These guys aren't 12-4 or 5-5 or any of that. They're 2-1 with a lot of issues to work out. Some of their plans didn't work out; Q, Brennan, Montgomery...... some aren't working as well as they had hoped; Reed, Newton, Reed, Foster

But there isn't a team in the league that is 100% perfect. Not now, not in week 16 & not Super Bowl week. There are other teams that appear to be handling their issues better than we are. There are other teams that appear to be handling their issues worse than we are.

I'd love to be one of those teams handling ourselves well, I'm upset that we aren't. As long as we've had this staff & this "system" you'd think we would. As much as we talk about our leadership... especially player leaders, we shouldn't be having these problems.

Seahawks 24, us 6.

Anemic offensive performance of course, Scub throwing 2 picks and the defense will give up a TD drive in the first series of the second half. Defense of course doesn't force a turnover because the DB's don't locate the ball ever and they can't catch. Hero of the game will be Shane Lechler besides JJ who will get 2 sacks and swat 2 passes.

Damn, I was close on some of this.

Up until the 4th it looked like we were going to get blown out

Lucky for the Seahawks the Texans have a qb that likes to throw pick 6's at the most critical of times. 3rd one this year. Then in ot our cb decides to put the Seahawks in field goal range. That game was a gift from the Texans. Not trying to take anything away but it really was.

Good teams make plays to win games. Bad teams make plays to lose them.

Texans play dumb ball at times. Sharpton's play is a good example. Kubiak needs a OC who calls the plays and Kubiak needs to get his head out of only being on one side of the ball during the game.

Since Kubiak will not ever place blame on Schaub i will take responsibility for this loss....Sorry guys i should of screamed more and maybe the vibirations would of made it to Schaub and he wouldnt of throw the pick 6. I need to account for possible butterfly effect from now on i suppose.

Unfortunately I don't think Kubiak would help much. He isn't anything more than an oc with a head coaching job.

After hearing all week(from Texans fans) how we were going to get blown out I guess an overtime loss is a positive statement.
