2013 TT Member Mock Draft Discussion

Baltimore Selects ....
J.C. Tretter, OG, Cornell

I like Tretter a lot one of my favorite small school prospects
A Ivy League OLman like Birk and who I see a lot of similarities like Birk
Tretter is a OG that I believe can play OC if need be.
Light on his feet and a well rounded interior OLman.
Flacco thanks me again

With the 166th pick the Miami Dolphins select...

Andre Ellington, RB, Clemson

Amazed that Ellington is still here at the end of the 5th round. Miami has to replace Reggie Bush's carries from last season. They have Daniel Thomas, who has struggled in his first two seasons, and Lamar Miller, who played well as a 3rd back for Miami as a rookie in 2012. Ellington gives them another back to put in the mix to replace those carries. I think he could be a good pro.

Tavarres King and Andre Ellington in the 5th round is good value for Miami's offense.

Good pick,

Tretter is the type of guy that could be a late rd guy for the Texans.

I agree
His size and speed
Plus a smart guy meaning he relies more on technique then he does physical gifts or athleticism
Dude is a technician
Has a lot of Chris Myers' traits

Tretter would excel in a ZBS

Looks like mussop will be missing his pick for the Packers. His picks so far include

Rd.1 Deandre Hopkins
Rd.2 Barrett Jones
Rd.3 Vance McDonald
Rd.4 Micheal Buchanan DE/OLB, Illinois

Thoughts on who to pick.

Baltimore selects...

Lawrence Okoye, DL, of England

Lawrence Okoye, DE (6-foot-6, 304 pounds) — An Olympic discus thrower, Okoye reportedly turned down an offer to attend Oxford University to try out for the NFL. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.88 and 4.78 seconds. He performed the short shuttle in 4.38 seconds, had a 10-foot-5 broad jump and a 35-inch vertical jump. His arms were measured to be 35 inches long.

Okoye looked like he could be drafted. He was unbelievably active and incredibly explosive in drills. It was a real, first-class show.

This is a luxury project pick.
A toy for the Baltimore defense
I'm sure Ngata and Suggs with the coaching staff can tap into some of his potential.

Chiefs select Hugh Thorton, OG, Illinois

I was here, but thanks for making the pick. I think Thornton in the early 6th is great value, I can see him going in the 4th or very early 5th on draft day. He's a solid OG with good strength and mobility.

Agree; I watched him some, including the Senior Bowl practice.
Good value here.

Wow, can't believe he hadn't been picked yet. Great value in the 6th.

I know; there are so many receivers in this draft, somebody is going to fall through the crack.

Man, I think some will go UDFA the rate we're going and they are draftable Receivers.

Ricky Wagner?

Thanks! Sorry worked 16 straight hours yesterday. Was here this morning waiting to pick and fell asleep. I was going to pick an OT this round but was going to take luke Marquardt. I actually had Wagner rated higher than Luke but for some reason had already taken him off my list. Good pick had I realized he was still available I would of taken him with my last pick.

Hope you're rested up and work has gotten better.

I try to pick who I think is BPA at this point in the draft.

With the 173rd pick the San Francisco 49ers select...

Gerald Hodges - ILB, Penn State

Great pick

This is the kind guy that I hope the Texans can pick up late in the draft. He has the ability to be a Sharpton type player without the injury issues. Possible starter/great depth guy.

Thornton is a guy the Texans have talked with and I can see him as a guy they might go after in the 4th or later rounds.

If Thorton falls to the 5th he should be the pick. Great value.

He played LT at Illinois, I wonder if he could play RT? He appears to have the athletic ability to do so. Thorton is a real tough guy, something the Texans OL is currently missing.

He's a sleeper for me at ILB this year. Solid player that could be had mid-to-late and has some starting potential.

Not really a need for SF, but I just couldn't pass him up at this point.

IDK...he struggled with pass protection his whole career and had some problems at the Senior Bowl. Not to mention he's 6'3, with 33 inch arms.

He's a great run blocker so that just screams OG to me. Could be a good player though. Yet another mid-to-late guy that has some starting potential.

Sent you a PM for my San Diego pick. Will send you another for my SF pick right after that.

If you're not going to be around much today I can send it to SteelB as well.

I'll be be at home, but I do need to do some work in the yard.
I have my IPhone with me though. And it may rain.

LOL, looks like BPA with all the needs.
I checked out a few MBs, and I saw these needs left:
CB, safety, edge rusher, TE, OG, OT.

OLB Devonte Holloman or CB Brandon McGee.
Are they still available?

If nobody suggests anything else, I will go with Holloman at 11:15 A.M.

Raiders select Devonte Holloman, OLB, South Carolina
