Baltimore

Yeah they got news coming to today on injuries that could be costly. Top seed in AFC on the line. Surely we don't no call no show two weeks in a row

Webb is a huge loss for them. He was playing on a Revis-level. Hoping this loss is the kick in the butt that they need. Need to come out firing.

We got the Jets at their most desperate time coming off an embarrassing loss and we got their best shot. We got the Pack when their backs were up against the wall and they were coming off a bad loss to the Colts and they put a whoopin on us.

Now, Baltimore gets to face an angry Texans team who just got embarrassed on National TV. We will see exactly what this team is made of this Sunday.

The Packers had a few big players out last night too. I'm not going to put much stock into that right now. Plus, I think Ellerbe's the better player over Lewis as of right now.

The pack still had Rodgers and Clay Matthews... That's huge on both sides of the ball.

If we aren't as good a team as we thought we were, we are going to find out this coming Sunday.

A lot of people always make the point about how it's dangerous playing teams coming off of a bad loss.

Perhaps it's time to see if that applies to the Texans as well.

As for the opposing team's injuries, I understand you have to account for them, but I feel like that shouldn't be a major factor considering what happened the last two games.

Win and no major injuries.

Do that and yesterday is forgotten.

I don't care how we win. This game has major implicatiosn that Green Bay did not.

No Lewis/Ngata/Webb = Texans win. That's the guts of there defense. I f our o-line doesn't dominate this game, then we will have some serious concerns

Yeah, it looks like Webb and Lewis will be out for sure. Can't find anything on Ngata, I guess we'll know later today.

Still, I'm afraid they have more depth on defense that we haven't seen much of, so I'll probably end up holding my breath the entire week until they play.

We played a Packers team that was all beat up. Look what that got us.

Maybe I'm just overreacting, but I don't think that beatdown we took was just a a case us playing flat and uninspired football. I think the team was exposed for what it really is. AJ is a shell of his former self. Foster is pulling a Chris Johnson act. The offensive line is not in sync. Except for Watt, there's no pass rush, and Jonathan Joseph, our shutdown corner... isn't.

Sorry, but I don't think we're gonna best the Ravens.

I was thinking the very same thing with respect to playing a beat up Packer team. IMHO, I though we couldn't ask for a better week to have played the Packers! LOL.

I somewhat agree with the rest of what you go on to say, except for what's in bold. I am of the opinion that what this team really is, is still in question.

Feels like both fan bases will be confident for next week's game. I'm sure the teams are always confident.

We're going to feel like Foster + Tate/Forsett will run for 250+ on them since the Cowboys did it with their crappy line.

They're going to feel like Packers exposed the Texans weaknesses on defense, and Flacco will be able to pass for 300+.

I personally don't think Flacco=Rodgers, but it should be a good game, and I can't wait for Sunday already. Glad it's a home game.

Joseph needs to show up. Otherwise the Ravens will go to their deep pass, they love to test teams deep. Rice will get his (and get stopped some as well)

Obviously if we can run the ball and stop the deep pass I think those two things will lead to victory.

Also with how the Packers played Watt it will be interesting to see if Wade does anything to help free him up.

Packers didn't contain Watt. He had 6 tackles and two sacks, was a beast in the run game and lots of pressures....he can't do everything.

I'm not saying they contained him, but he saw a lot of double teams and as a result the team wasn't really getting any pressure last night. If it's going to take a super effort from Watt just to get pressure on the QB I do not like our chances.

yeah, I agree. Lord forbid Watt going down...that would destroy this defense unlike losing Mario.

Scared to see what this D will look like Cushing-less against Ray Rice.

But it should be a great game. I expect, no....I DEMAND a better performance.

Thankfully, the Thanksgiving game starts at like 11am, IIRC.

Yes, only two more late night games. And if those two late night games end up being as horrible as the last one, I'll do the same thing I did last night. Mute the sound and fall asleep.

Ngata's MRI demonstrated a minor MCL knee sprain. He also re-injured his right shoulder. Most athletes with a grade I MCL tear which this seems to be will be able to return to their sport within 1-2 weeks following their injury. Ngata will probably not be slowed too much this Sunday (I doubt if he misses this game because it's us), but he will be significant risk to aggrevating/re-injuring certainly his shoulder injury and possibly his knee.

I'm not saying that the ravens will walk in with a win in their back pocket but this is a different team than you saw last year.

The defense is getting propped up by the Offense.

Jacoby Jones (yeah yeah- now come all the 'dropsies' posts) has added a nice speed dimension to the Ravens offense. Add in an improved Torrey Smith and its a good problem to have.

The Ravens Defense is not what you are used to- hasn't been for a awhile...I predict a shootout

By AIR or by LAND?

Joe Flacco is having the best year of his career and Tory Smith is one of the best wideouts in the league this year. Not to mention they have Ray Rice and other nice pieces like Dennis Pita, Anquan Boldin, and as much as Jacoby Jones sucks as a receiver he's having a solid season for them. Will be interesting to see how the defense deals with another QB who's playing at an elite level this year. Oh, Kubiak better get the running game fixed asap.

Flacco's having a good year. But, imo, he's not "elite".

Imo he's having an elite year when you take into account how many long passes he's made this year. I think I heard Brian Billick say that the Ravens lead the league this year in explosive plays and Joe Flacco is a big reason for that. He's not an elite QB, but he's having a very good year.

I'd like to feel confident, but Baltimore got pushed around & still won the game. They didn't deserve to win the playoff game last year, either. We need to finish them off, but I have a feeling they'll just hang around :hairpull:

Bet you guys get tired of it. From what we've seen the last few years, the Ravens can win with him. Just like a lot of us around here believe the Texans can win with Schaub.
Absolutely- the conversations never end on the sportsyak...sickening really...

Isnt he the one running saying he is elite?

I got a funny feeling....Jacoby will cost you this game.

name 1 QB who says in an interview "Ya know Mike and Mike, I really suck and I can't believe people buy my jersey! LOL Laughs on them because I am horrible and will cost you points in fantasy every week! But you'll hang onto me and coaches will play me because I'll have a game where I play lights out, then stink it up"

jacoby's TD return was the Game winner as far as I am concerned...

Yeah but elite QB's dont go to the media and say "Hey Im ELITE!!" He is good but he is not Rodgers, Eli or Brady yet.

thats why packers felt they didnt know how they beat us...cowboys ran so good agiasnt ravens..but foster being vegan and tripping over his dam feet..and sacuab looking lost without the run i dont see this turning out well..but i hope im wrong

Again, the media came to Joe not vice versa.

It doesn't really matter that he is the #8, 9th or 10th- they are are some pretty damn good QB's playing and I can name at least 20 teams that would love to have him including that team in your state to the North. Blomo will cost you a game; Joe doesn't.

Then you have some humilty and throw out the typical "Ill do whatever it takes to help the team win."

right....

“I assume everybody thinks they’re a top-five quarterback,” Flacco told WNST in Baltimore, via SportsRadioInterviews.com. “I mean, I think I’m the best. I don’t think I’m top five, I think I’m the best. I don’t think I’d be very successful at my job if I didn’t feel that way. I mean, C’mon? That’s not really too tough of a question. But that doesn’t mean that things are gonna work out that way. It just means that that’s the way it is, that’s the way I feel it is, and that’s the way I feel it should be.”

In my book this is a non-topic. The media blow things out of proportion to create things they can talk about. And rival teams' fans just pounce on anything to make fun of the other team. When this came out in the summer, and I heard what he actually said, I rolled my eyes.
