Houston Texans @ Jacksonville Jaguars. Noon. 9/16. **Official GameDay Thread**

Wow PAts! Congrats Arizona was pulling for them. Ryan Williams with the fumble to set NE up for a game winnig FG. Gostkowski shanked it Glad for the Cards.

It's crazy to see all these ex-texans in the Philly-Ravens game starting and making their presence known.

Just goes to show you how far we've come!

Defense is something else and we won handily and I still think we could have played a lot better on offense.

I'm glad to see them do well.. I was a real fan of Pollard and Leach when they were here. And good to see JJ having some success for once.

Refs ruled a fumble, very incorrectly BY A MILE INCORRECTLY, against Vick.

Thank goodness for automatic review.

Ravens need to lose this game.

Please don't tell me you're scared of the Colts. They got a last minute win over the Vikings. So what? I'm glad Luck got the win, as he's a local kid.

Scared?

The only thing I am scared of is that you're here rah-rah'ing our divisional rival.

You DO know that divisional rivals' reg season record determines divisional champion, right? And you DO know that the Colts had won virtually every AFCS title for almost the past 10 years, right?

Why. In. The. Hell would you be on here and say "Yay! The Colts win! Congrats to their QB!!!" Get the **** out of here with that.

I am amazed at you. I really am. You're that guy on the Verizon commercial who has to learn how to watch football, I guess.

You don't cheer your divisional rivals in ANY circumstance unless you're needing them to help get you into a Wild Card spot. Learn.

+1 to that

Now let's see the power ranking experts justify keeping Texans below Ravens and Patriots. I dare them!

LOL. Today is a great day.

Yes, I know that the Colts owned us from 2002-2010. Stop the insults and chill. You should be happy. We beat the mighty Jaguars.

And as to that last statement I made, remember this bit of history:

One year the Texans could have made the playoffs as a Wild Card but the Colts, in the final reg season game vs Titans, laid down like you-know-whats and ensured that the Titans got that spot and not us.

So it'll be a cold day in hell when I ever EVER root for the Colts.

I believe you are thinking of the Jets....

Your views are awful. I'm not insulting you, I'm calling out your views. Which are questionable no matter what.

You do not cheer for your divisional rivals EVER. With one exception and that exception is not in play right now.

You also said we'd lose to the Jags.

You're cheering the Colts and their supposed franchise QB.

You misrepresented my statement.

It's a bit odd when it all starts stacking up like this. Comprehension issues.

What fan roots for a divisional rival. Disgusting.

I have to think "New to football" or maybe "a converted Colts fan" or something.

Other than that, perhaps just trying to get a response out of us.

Because in every level, high school to college to pro...you don't celebrate your district/conference/divisional rivals.

I'm glad to see them do well.. I was a real fan of Pollard and Leach when they were here. And good to see JJ having some success for once.

Andy Dalton is a local kid. Were you cheering for him in the playoffs last year? Local kids are no longer local when they put another team's uniform on. I watched Dez Bryant grow up playing football through high school. He's a Cowboy now, so I hope he sucks as long as he wears that uniform.

Lol. He's also that guy at Reliant who, when the Texans are on offense, scream loudly.

He doesn't appear to understand the importance of division games and division opponents.

I agree with you GP, but seriously, chill out with the biggest **** fan competition. Its possible for people to root for more than one team. Its possible to root for players that you have a personal connection to.

Its not like him saying "Congrats Luck" is in any way shape or form having any impact on the Colts or Texans chances of winning any games in the future.

I'm not cheering for the Colts anytime in the near future unless our AFC S victory is assured and they are playing a team that is vying with us for seeding. But its obvious this guy is a Texan fan first and foremost. We just won in a total domination. Lets feel the brotherhood a little :D

I missed the Game... Could someone give me a little recap of who looked good? What about our run defense? Our right side OLine? Rookies? Holiday? Any injuries? What happened to Gabbert?

Chris Johnson really just ain't that good any more...

I may get some flack for this, but....

CJ with VY > CJ with anyone else

CJ relied on that split second of hesitation that VJ gave to opposing defenses. He doesn't seem to have good enough vision to find it himself. And his speed is wasted on anything but long distance runs

Personally, I can't root for any other team. I've tried before and I always find it a conflict (or they just suck). If they are any good and not even a conference rival (IOW an NFC team), I start to worry they will possibly beat us in a Superbowl....and then I can't even root for them to beat anybody....until they suck and just bore me...

I have an identical twin. He's on the waiting list for a kidney but as long as he's a Colt fan I'm a two-kidney-having mf'er.

(kidding folks.........

he's doing well on dialysis).

:vincepalm:

We scored 27 points.
We had 200+ yards at ~5ypc
Our defense held Jax to 117 total yards, their lowest in franchise history.
They were doing so bad they benched Gabbert.
JJ Watt is an animal.

Total. Domination.

Is that like Va-jay-jay? :vincepalm:

I was the same way until I moved out of Texas. Its hard or next to impossible to cheer for a team you have absolutely no connection to. The vast majority of my friends here are Patriots fans, so I cheer for them if it has no impact on the Texans. I was happy to see them lose today, for instance. But when you're at a sports bar to see your team play and the entire bar erupts for a good play, it helps you get into it a little as well.

That's fine. I just don't go from liking a player to disliking him just because he puts on a different uniform.

Now that's how you handle business! There were a few flaws here, and there, but over all we kicked their ass! What more can you say about JJ Watt, except BEAST! :stonecold:
