Game Day: Texans vs Saints

Crap, even when the QB is in the grasp we can't follow through with a sack!

This is just an ugly half all the way around..

YIKES.

TJ

Wow... a good.... bad.... nice... sloppy.. fast first half. Is it good or bad we're toe to toe with Saints?

All things considered good. They're +1 in turnovers, but they're tough at home. Its been a pretty even game all around. Both defenses can't seem to find an answer.

All in all, offense looks pretty good...Maritn's gotta secure the rock...Brees is Brees. People flipping out about how this guy shreds our defense...he does this to every defense...see SF's defense last year in the playoffs. People just need to chill. we look good considering we're down 3 significant starters.

The only thing i'm concerned about right now is injuries. Last year is was our O that took the hit...this year it's our defense that looks like it's going to take the hit. Just get thru the game healthy is all i'm concerned about.

Hey look, Kj whiffing again

Really? That wasn't even his man - he actually made a great play to at least. Ate it more difficult for Graham, while Manning had no chance.

I'm not too worried. Very vanilla defense with our high intensity guys missing. I'd still like to see more pressure by Barwin and Reed.

A good thing that Martin is fumbling now - the coaches will be all over him for the rest of preseason.

Really excited for the offense.

Two TEs. Casey. Foster/Tate. Johnson. WRs who can actually run routes and catch the ball.

Only thing I'm worried about is the right side of the line. Hopefully it's decent.

Is it just me or Mercilus doesn't get ANY run with the first team?

Out of everything that happened in the 1st half, Bullock not being able to kick it very far bothers me the most. That's going to bite us in the ass.

They're in the same tier, but I give Brees the edge. Both can improvise on busted plays, but I see Brees get more production on those, he's more athletic, and makes fewer mistakes.

No way. Manning carried a team for basically 13 years. Brees is nice but he doesn't sniff Manning's territory unless he's great for another five years. He's also got a better team around him than manning did.

Need to stay healthy.
Need to hold onto the ball.
Need to sack the qb instead of whiffing.

Remember that Watt, Cushing, and Cody is out. Bet the score and defense would be different if they were in.

All in all, a good showing.

Pre-season my a$$ that first half is what it will be in regular season as well. If teams left anything on the table they both did which cancel each other out.

Both ones look as advertised. Now in the second half we get to see how deep both teams are. I've always like Chase Daniels but I'm even bigger fan of TJ.

I want to see a better performance from the OL reserves as well WR's Posey & Jean. Mix in some Tate, Forsett & Grimes control the clock & come out on top with Bullock kicking decisive FG 38-35 :logo:

if you wanna look at the positives, most of the time we bring em down inside the 20.. plus we'll be alot more used to covering than most teams will be returning!
