2012 NFL Draft Day 3: Rounds 4-7

does anyone think that by taking 2 WRs that the texan front office isn't high on Jean.
I like him hope he does well.

I just can't imagine that Kubiack goes into the season with
1. AJ
2. KW
3.Posey
4. Martin
5. Jean

Not necessarily. We needed one WR in the fold even if we didn't cut JJ. With cutting him that leaves 2 spots open. I don't think it really changes much in regards to Jean.

I think they may just hedging. We only have a bit of preseason on Jean, and so maybe they want some insurance?

YES!

He's a punt return guy with some receiving skills. Very fast, very agile. I'd say better hands than Jacoby but he's not exactly glue. YAC guy, slot potential, very high ceiling. Excellent pick, I'm so stoked. Jacoby is DONE!!!!!

Its a fourth, so I like it based on his return ability, but I just dont see the potential at WR. I think he tops out as a 4th, maybe 3rd receiver. I would have preferred to see a guy who could turn out to be a 2, but I am not going to dog this one.

too bad the NFL red zone doesn't do a three dad "draft zone"

with limited commercials and lots of analysis

It's official: Watching Day 3 is a waste of time. Commercials commercials commercials.

And the effing Verizon commercial!!! Agghh!!!!!

I just keep it on as background noise. Mot of my attention is on the NFL draft tracker and the board.

My guess is they sign somebody once players start getting cut. Probably knocks Jean or one of the rooks down to practice squad.

Mothers Day commercial by Verizon.

Weight loss by Weight Watchers.

Jewelry by Kay Jewelers.

LOL.

Most, if not all, of the guys who could becomes #2s are usually gone by this point in the draft.

Please Please please one of these guys

Jared Crick DE Nebraska (X)
*Ronnell Lewis DE Oklahoma (X/LB)
Senio Kelemete OG Washington
Brandon Washington OG Miami (OT)
Marvin Jones WR California
Greg Childs WR Arkansas
Markelle Martin FS Oklahoma State (X)

Two WRs, two OLs, and only one defensive pick.

I get that but I think ideally Posey or Jean is that guy while Martin takes over slot/PR duties. Maybe, maybe not on him being a receiver but one thing is for sure: he's got a better shot at it than Jacoby will going forward. Probably a better PR man too.

I was hoping for DB personally. Has our GM not seen the teams we are playing this season? We need DBs!

Crick has some serious injury concerns. From ESPN he scored the absolute lowest on durability:

"Deals with knee tendinitis. In 2011, sprained MCL during spring practice but returned to play five games in fall. Did not play against Wyoming due to concussion and suffered season-ending injury (torn pectoral muscle) versus Ohio State. Did not participate in bench press at combine while still recovering from pectoral injury. Started all 28 games during 2009 and 2010 seasons. "

I got Crick at the nose or LE opposite Watt. Insurance against A. Smith injury and possible departure in the future.

Watt has that RE locked down.

I doubt any DB we draft from here on out will have any impact on defense this year.

Wow! A commercial?!?! Shocker.

Geez.

Ok, so we take the K from A&M in the 5th right?

Fugging Verizon AGAIN. LOL, they are losing potential customers with that commercial. Negative outcome with sniffling mom and daughter routine.
