So......

Anybody want to re-visit my posts this past week about how we better start targeting a future QB in the first round or two of this year's draft?

We're down to our 3rd string QB, folks. It's Kellen Clemens IF Yates goes down to injury (presuming that Leinart is hurt, which I hope he's not).

Hell, is Kellen Clemens even active today? The new CBA says the 3rd QB can be active and it doesn't count against the active roster limits on game day. Anybody know if he's active today?

I think Matt 2 was too worried about managing the game though, all those check downs and our offense became terribly predictable.

Good point. Then we see TJ Yates come in, and laugh when the Jags
tried to blitz him. Yates seems to have presence in the huddle, Leinart
seems to be "just a guy."
 
Have not seen Yates in action, but not bad so far. Can it get any worse? And we still look pretty good. And i am glad it is the Jags.
 
I feel like the Texans are keeping really tight reigns on Leinart. Everything is right at the line of scrimmage and I don't think that's all Leinart checking down. It's like they don't want to take any chances.

Also where is Tate? He just vanished after that one series.

If we're not the NFL's most compelling team...I don't know why.

Forget the Tebow hooplah. Forget the Jets being 5-5. Forget the (ers being a one-loss team right now.

The Texans have found a way to put up 20 first half points with a 2nd and 3rd string QB.

Foster is the better receiver. He's been Leinart's safety valve.

I would not be surprised. Yates played in a pro-style system at NCU. Yates also has the best arm on the team. Period. As we've seen, there does not appear to be a bit of fear in him.

I'm not going to claim that TJ Yates is our QB of the future yet, but the irony is not lost to me that Matt Schaub's season will end in Charlotte NC, where Yates' career began.
 
Cowher just said the COlts have JUST NOW scored their first offensive TD in the month of NOVEMBER.

Not sure why so many people are dogging Leinart. 10/13 and a TD, no interceptions. Playing pretty good before he got hurt and it would be 20-3 without that fumble recovery..

Sure he is checking down a lot but that's what everyone was wanting him to do..

Yeah but it's time to ground and pound now. give the defense some rest. We need a nice long ten-minute drive to open the 2nd half.

Yep so am I. The Jags top two corners are sitting on I.R. and Leinart couldn't even get Andre one single catch. I'm already done with him.

Let's see what this kid can do....Like Schaub did at Virginia. Yates also ran our system in college for 4 years. It's why we drafted him.

I know for a fact that Clemens is inactive.

I know that OD used to be our emergency QB in previous years, not sure he is anymore, but don't see why that would have changed.
 
Unofficial word per a media tweet that it was heard in Jacksonville media room that its a broken collarbone.

The world was out of balance with Houston bieng 7 and 3. Houston is like the "Final Destination" of Pro Football, destiny will catch up with us no matter how hard we try........
