That was crazy. A lot of the time they were playing press coverage with no safety over the top. You would think that after 4 or 5 TDs they might change their strategy, but no they just kept right at it.

I feel sorry for their DBs. They were given an almost impossible job to perform, and their coaches' gameplan made a bad situation even worse.

How about Rice continually getting eaten up by draws up the middle? What DC would have absolutely no coverage in the middle of the field?

The same thing happened to Texas a couple of weeks ago against Oklahoma St. They were splitting their safeties out wide and leaving nobody in the middle of the field and OSU would just check to a draw. They got their two big TD runs that way.

You're right, Rice was doing the same thing. It makes no sense. You're gonna man up all the way across and not have one guy deep in the middle? Alright. Have fun against Keenum. Doesn't seem like they fared too well.
