Well, then it was obviously a reach. :)

Awww, that makes me a sad panda :(

It was a tough choice though, there are so many 3-4 round OT's in this draft it's hard to pick one.

You have 12 minutes to make a selection before one is made for you.

Just had to run in here and tell you guys to make the pick. Just had a customer show up, that's buying a home with cash. I'm sure you understand. Best OT sounds good to me. Or another interior DL.

With the 101st pick in the 2011 TexansTalk Ridiculously Long Mock Draft, Dutchrudder representing the Cleveland Browns selects....

Greg Little, WR from UNC!

I made a decision to go with a OT in the 3rd, cause I saw a lot of good WRs left on the board thinking one might be here, and that gamble paid off. Greg Little is a great talent with a high ceiling, but he's getting knocked down a couple rounds due to missing the 2010 season for NCAA bullshit. Yeah, he took money from an agent, but who hasn't? Anyways, that won't be a problem at the NFL level cause he'll get lots of cash for working hard and earning a big contract. This guy has all the tools necessary to make it in the NFL, he just needs a good coach and some discipline to keep him out of trouble. And what better place is there to stay out of trouble than Cleveland? :D

Greg's got some moves! Watch him dodge, duck, dive and catch the ball!
2009 Highlights

For the record, I didn't want to go WR till the 5th or later, but I just like this guy too much so I couldn't pass him up. I thought he was taken earlier for some reason, but I couldn't find him in the selection thread. The Browns need some help at WR, but they spent two 2nd round picks on WRs last year, so meh...

Via PM from Kiwi.

The Cardinals under new draft management elect to select a player whose leadership and success will cleanse all memories of the Anderson era.

Out of TCU, Andy Dalton.

Strengths: Intelligent passer who can audible at the line. Durable leader for whom teammates will play. Strong over-the-top delivery, high ball carriage. Good zip on short and intermediate throws, can fit a ball between defenders in zone within 15 yards when footwork is solid. Throws to the opposite hash with accuracy. Nice touch on fade throws. Makes passes tall in the back of the end zone so only his receiver can reach it. Has enough mobility to escape pocket when flushed to throw the ball away, will gain a few yards with his feet when plays break down. Adequate throwing on the run, better running to his right.

Weaknesses: Spread offense product, must learn to read defenses from a drop. Usually catch-and-throw passer from shotgun, makes some poor decisions when primary receiver is covered. Spends little time under center on passing plays, will hand off occasionally from drop. Will throw off his back foot and with an inconsistent spiral when pressured. Does not drive the ball downfield, floats it down the seam or the sideline. Not an elusive runner, needs to keep his head up on the run and learn to slide.

103.) Philadelphia Eagles - jgl35

104.) Houston Texans - Ndevine7

105.) Minnesota Vikings - JCTexan

106.) Detroit Lions - pbat488

107.) San Francisco 49ers - jay23728

The Eagles select Jaiquawn Jarrett S Temple.
With Quintin Mikell a FA., The Eagles need depth at Safety. Jarrett could be used at both Safety positions.

With the 105th pick the Minnesota Vikings select...

Will Rackley, OG, Lehigh

Vikings Need OL help after selecting Gabbert, & Rackley looks like the top linemen available.

Ah, it was either him or Greg Little for the Browns, but since I got an OT earlier, I figure O-line can wait another round for a guard. Good pick :)

With the 106th pick, the Detroit Lions select....

K.J. Wright - LB - Mississippi State

The Lions draft a player they were looking to land in the 3rd if the draft had shaken out differently with their 4th round pick and are ecstatic about it. Wright isn't the fastest player but he has a good first step and great football instincts. He's able to play the Sam or Mike in the Lions 4-3 and should instantly compete against the Lions weak LB corps for a starting spot.

With all the fatties flying off the board the Dolphins feel that they need to act now to get a good one.

With their 4th round pick they select John Moffit, OG, Wisconsin.

With the 111th pick, the St. Louis Rams select...

Zach Hurd, OG, UCONN

With linemen flying off the board, the Rams pull the trigger on 6'7" 325-lbs OG from UCONN. Ran a 5.17 40-Yard Dash according to one source and basically, he provides the Rams with a tough linemen, who, with coaching should be able to contribute right away and become a key blocker for Steven Jackson.

I think our valuation of positional value is way different to the actual GMs.

There are a ton of skill position players still on the board while we are plumbing the depths of the OL position.

True, but I think most of our GMs want to cover needs before getting position players. Some teams, like the Rams, lack serious depth on the interior lines (both ways) and therefore, linemen come off the board in a pack.

Yeah. My board is starting to look really weird with a bunch of RBs and CBs and Safeties at the top.

I was planning on picking up one or two of these guys in the next round.

I agree and I think it makes sense, I just don't think GMs work that way and I wonder what the difference in mindsets stems from.

^This & a lot of these O-line picks aren't really reaches. Rackley, Schilling & Moffitt are considered 3rd or 4th round picks, while Hurd is a 4th or 5th round prospect.

It may be because successful teams have most likely gone BPA unless if there was an urgent need position. Teams that go through the draft based on needs end up drafting same position players multiple years or flat out stink for long periods of time before switching to a different philosophy.

From all of us wanting to build from the inside out for the past 9 years.

That to. I think fans have a different perspective because watching your quarterback run for his life or watch your center get slapped silly and than proceed to crushing your quarterback with all the power a 360-lbs NT can muster leaves a bigger impression and sense of urgency to a fan than a GM. (BTW, I was refering to the Jenkins-Meyers play)

Who is left you considered a 2nd round prospect? Luke Stocker & Daniel Thomas?

I don't know if I'd call them 2nd round prospects but I'd expect guys like these to be gone by now:

Daniel Thomas, RB, Kansas State
Casey Matthews, ILB, Oregon
Shane Vereen, RB, California
Rashad Carmichael, CB, Virginia Tech
James Carpenter, G, Alabama
Ahmad Black, SS, Florida

Are there black marks on these guys I haven't heard of?

**** I'm only posting this because I'm not picking again until the end of the next round. I don't expect any of these guys to fall to me and frankly, most of them don't meet team needs. I might be forced to pick them if they fall to me, though.

Carpenter went in the third round to Carolina.

PICKS ARE UP TO DATE

On the clock:

112.) Oakland Raiders - Kulluminati

113.) Jacksonville Jaguars - Super Mario

114.) San Francisco 49ers - jay23728

115.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Senor Stan

116.) New York Giants - BigBull17

117.) Kansas City Chiefs - HOU-TEX

When is Killuminatis team up?

I have a player he PMed me in the last round that isn't taken yet that would probably do the trick for him.

If his time isn't up though we can wait for him to come around just in case he has changed his plans.

He has about 4 hours. But I am fine if you want to plug in a player he wanted last round.

It would seem that that would be his pick anyway.

Lets do it so we can keep this thing rolling. If he wants to change he can always let SM know and SM can change the pick at that time.
