Saints @ Seahawks

Seahawks have been my #2 team since Moon went there and I started to pay attention to them, hope they win tonight.......up 7-0 now in the 1st.

Plus it would be funny to see a 7-9 team host a playoff game.

:bender:

My dad needs a 20 yard catch by Amendola to win his ff league. Too bad the Rams offense didn't show up today. Neither team looks like a playoff team. Looks like Seattle will be the lucky ones to get steamrolled next week by New Orleans

Man what do y'all think goes through Kubiak's head when he watches Pete Carroll about to go to the playoffs with a losing record in his first year?

"Give me the 9ers/Cardinals/Seahawks/Rans job and I too could make the playoffs."

Heh, I dont know. No doubt a crappy division but congrats to Pete Carroll and the Seahawks. Playoffs in the first year. Something Kubiak hasnt done in 5 years but I digress

So I guess he lost? Or does he get points for receptions and return yards?

Seeing Pistol Pete in the playoffs is awesome!

Almost makes me forgive him for sticking us with Lane Kiffin.

With the Boys and Texans out, I might back Seattle.

I wish I had his hair?

I'm happy for CP. Guy has worked his ass off his whole career, and its good to see him finally make it to the playoffs, even if its on a 7-9 team. :smiliepalm:

The Seahawks are a playoff team this year at 7-9, which means that the only way they can have a WINNING season is if they win the Superbowl. If they just merely make it to the Superbowl, they'll break even at 10-10. Heck, if they make it to the NFC Championship game and lose, they'll be LOSERS for the year at 9-10. Amazing.

I've got family in Washington and Oregon, so I'll be rooting for Seattle this weekend. If I remember to watch the game that is. LOL

I would just love it if a 7-9 team won the Super Bowl. I would be laughing my ass off at NE and Indy.

Losing teams should not go to the playoffs, period. If a division can't produce a winner, its spot in the postseason should become a wildcard position.

If you're going to do that, why not just get rid of division and conferance titles altogeather? Just have the twelve NFL teams with the best record go to the playoffs no matter their division or conference and seed them according to their record and the inevitable tie breakers.

Frankly, I wouldn't have a problem with that. It would certainly insure only the best teams get there.

Seattle,

Please beat the 'aints. I'm tired of "who dat" nation getting up in my grill about my Texans. How dare saints fans question my love for a "loser". How quickly they forget their past and all the pain throughout the years.

Thank you.

Do you think that would buy Pete Carroll any slack? Will it still count as a losing season? 3 years from now are the fans going to say, "heck, give him some slack, we got to the play-offs in 2010."

Or are they going to say, "three years of losing seasons..... this year better be different."

I think they should at least look at realignment. This has been a problem for some time. Wild-Card teams have regularly had better records than the AFC & NFC West.

They desperately need to find a new formula for determining playoff teams. The fact that a losing team is in the playoffs when the Giants and Tampa both finished 10-6 is just stupid.

I already said it best.

Anybody that doesn't like Drew Brees hates America.

When Brees wins, the terrorists lose.

Drew Brees is what's great about America. Of course those Starbucks swillin'... America hatin'... hippies up in Washington are rooting against him.

I couldn't agree more with this.

Raheem Brock got his 10th sack of the season. A guy the Texans worked out and let go in preseason. Their talent evaluation os horrible.

Seahawks have a 24-17 lead with less than a minute left in the first half. I just switched over, has anyone been watching? Is this a good game?

I've been watching as best I can. N.O. jumped on them early to a 10-0 lead but Hasselbeck and the Seahawks just won't go away. They were again down 17-7 but son of a gun we have a game.

I did see a flop by Hasselbeck that would make a grown soccer player blush. ;)

I wish Hasselbeck could teach Schaub how to throw the longball like that.
Both times, his receivers were hit in stride immediately after breaking
coverage.

Huh, get out the ding-dong bell, because Seattle won't give them anything to build on. The witch could be dead today.

Aah, it's still Seattle vs New Orleans. Maybe I should have posted this in the 4th...lol.

(Sea just converts a 3rd and 8 to the N.O. 30.)

This is a travesty that this game is in Seattle.

The Saints are gonna have a hard time digging themselves out of this hole.

I do too. If you are like me and many others here (and I think you are) you make week-in and week-out picks during the course of the season. When picking a Seattle game you MUST check to see where the game is because Seattle and their fans are a different animal than Seattle on the road.

I wish the NFL would take a hard look at that this offseason.

I saw the last bit of that replay. Did New Orleans get a break? I think they would have scored anyway :whew but it looked iffy to me from what I saw.

It was very close. But, not enough to challenge.

The ball was right on the goal line probably would have tough to overturn either way.

4th quarter in a playoff game, Saints down by 7.

Where is Bush? In the locker room...

Marshawn Lynch!!! That was huge! How did he get away?

41-30 Seahawks!

Coaching smoaching. Bottom line is Players make plays & that time Lynch made the play, the saints defenders did not.

Pete Carroll doesn't look like he's bending over with his eyes
closed on a field goal. Dude shows fire on the sidelines, his
players show fire on the field.
