Replay please: Aj's TD catch that was called back @ Jags

AJ's TD catch, and the 74 yard screen pass to Foster were both called back due to legit penalties.

AJ was blocking the Jags LB before Schaub threw it to Foster and that LB was 2 steps away from reaching Foster when he caught it. Had AJ not interfered with him, that play would have went nowhere.

AJ's TD catch was called back for a chop block. I think it was Wade Smith who chopped the RDE, nullifying the whole thing. Another a correct call.

i disagreed with aj's called back td. wade chopped but the player wasnt engaged with anybody else at the time iirc. doesnt matter cos we scored 2 tds on both drives anyway

Right! The defender had separated from Brown and was no longer engaged by him. Bad call imo.

If anybody can find AJ's TD that was called back please post the link. I was surprised hey didn't replay the catch. That has to be one of the greatest catches I have ever seen in my life. My life will be incomplete if I don't see it 1 last time.

Yeah, this was another terrible call.

The AJ illegal block however, was not on the guy who was near Foster. I thought AJ was blocking a guy who was out of the way. Either way, we scored on both drives.

What this guy said! I wanna see this catch!!!

You mean Foster's TD that was called back for AJ's penalty, right? I'd like to look at it also.

I saw it, it was a pick by Andre..... I've seen it go uncalled before.

But technically, they were right to throw the flag.

To stop running the ball...... can't blame that on the refs.

Penalty = no play and subsequently no catch. It has been erased from the annals of time...

in my opinion, another technically correct call, but the first defender, Brown wasn't what I'd call "engaged" he had one hand on him, passing him off.

I'm not upset at the calls, just saying. I've seen them go both ways, I've seen them called, & not called.

This is how I saw it as well.

Please! Someone go to your DVR and upload that catch lol!

Too late, I deleted that crap right after it ended.

Agree, Also the ref's allowed a lot of those chop blocks...the Texans OL was doing it all day!

The defender was already in the process of beginning to fall down from the first block. While contact was still maintained, the second block came down low..................chop block.

I'll watch it...I always like to re-watch a game from the TV view, when your at the game in person.

I hear you and know exactly what you're talking about. Since I witness that debacle from the pain of my own couch, I'm skipping it tonight. The worst part? I recorded it... :gun:

Besides that, I just don't think I could bear to hear Gus Johnson have an orgasm on TV again.

To me, it looked like AJ was running his route and accidentally collided with a Jags defender. Should have this been a no call? Or is it the receiver's responsibility to get out of the way?

I think the official thought AJ was picking that guy which is legal in the NBA but not so much in the NFL. Other teams do it all the time and don't get flagged for it. The Colts comes to mind here. They are always picking linebackers with routes.
