Post-game frustration thread

Knowing us, that would be time for Schaub's Shitty-Throw-Of-The-Game (tm). We were backed up pretty nice. He'd probably throw a pick, set them up nicely, and they'd get the FG.

I'm ok with that course of action in that situation today, and I'm usually all about trying for it.

I can understand that, I wish Kubiak would have had more confidence in his guys to go for that though. It's true Matt may throw a pick 6 or something horrible may happen, but that's true for every drive.

I think the philosophy of only drafting or signing high character players has failed. Plus it seems god is against us now.

The football Gods sure do not favor the Texans.

Not really. I'm just annoyed because of COURSE he's going to say the same type of **** every time there's a mic in front of his face. We, as fans, shouldn't expect anything more. Anything is an excuse when you break it down to its simplest form. He's not going to go killing everybody to make them accountable. This isn't 1950s Russia.

Still missing the point.

He's in job preservation mode now. He's not saying the same **** he's been saying.

I might be wrong, but I don't remember him throwing anyone else under the bus before this year. Now it's pretty common. Case in point: the Quin comments.

Are Quin and Jackson really the best CBs on this team?

Can't be.

I find myself every week asking "Where's Molden?"

He's looked good the few times I've seen him and it's not like he could do worse than giving up a couple of 50+ yard TDs a game.

Yep. Watching Mccain is much worse....and honestly I have no idea who is behind Brice. I know it's not Molden.

I'm not sure it matters. All I know is the worst defense in the NFL regressed today. I wouldn't have thought a universe ruled by Einstein’s law would allow that, but apparently it does.

this secondary is making me wonder .. "how bad was Reeves ,faggins and bennett?"

I don't even care about the losses anymore...I have become apathetic towards the Texans...

I am ready for a complete over haul...These guys suck...

Molden is probably hurt. That's a safe bet. I didn't see him.

Yes this game was a low for the defense. Speaking of Faggins, Bennet, and Reeves...it seems like in the case of Bennet and Reeves we cut a lot of depth on the team.

With Bennet the problem wasn't him being bad...it was where he was playing. I'd rather have Bennet be my #3-4 CB over McCain. Reeves as well. At least they would push each other. It doesn't help that Quinn and Jackson can play terrible and still know with 100 percent certainty they are starting next week.

To put the icing on this terrible weekend, the cowgurls just beat the Giants.

The only good thing was the tinnbreds losing...

You can't consistently win having to score 30+ points a game. An offense cannot be expected to score every possession. There is nothing else to say. The defense must start actually playing defense. Until then nothing will change. That is all.

I was depressed from the start of the game. I've said it before that since little shannahan has left our offense hasen't looked the same. I know that we have been running more but, Kubiak isen't calling the right plays. The ending was typical. I was so discusted!!! The only thing that I liked that I saw was the pressure on the QB, the play of Amobi really suprised me. He looked great. Andre looked great, walter is beast #3 behind foster, and it looks like Jacoby has regressed. He is dropping passes left and right.
I don't know what to say except I wont be watching any ESPN or listening to any sport radio this week. Just thinking about the way we lost makes me sick. Typical Houston sports, but why do we expect greatness, when the only time we have tasted it was the mid 90's with the Rockets.
It sucks when you start thinking about the next season when we are only at the midway point.
I feel the way about the coaching staff as I do about the politicians, Fire them ALL!

I had no reaction at all, I just got up and got a DP. Thats sad too, The compassion, and excitement has already been taken out of this season for me.

Pretty much my reaction too. I didn't see that ending coming, but it didn't shock me. I just laughed it off and went back to my Xbox. It takes too much energy to be pissed about this team anymore. I don't see a way out of this situation without some major coaching changes, and until that happens, I can't invest any emotion in any of these games.

Yeah I watched the game but when the Texans lost, I got up and fetched another bottle of water. I was just meh.

seriously? unfreaking believable

David freaking Garrard

He completed 14 consecutive passes at the conclusion of Sunday’s

http://www.jaguars.com/news/article.aspx?id=9498

The play is called “Rebound,” and Mike Thomas(notes) serves as “the scoop guy.”

The Jacksonville Jaguars don’t even run it during practice. David Garrard(notes) always fakes the deep throw and teammates act out the results.

It never turns out like this.

When Quin batted that ball to an open Jags receiver, I started laughing
hysterically. I have absolutely NO emotion invested in this team because
of its current coaching staff.

You know what is funny? My son came in during the game and asked what I was watching? I told the the Texans and he was like, "Seriously? You're not yelling or screaming or anything?"

I just looked at at him and said, "Yeah. I'm kind of past that this year."

I srsy think Houston Football is Cursed or something figure this

-Has UofH COgs Every won anything in College Football

The Oilers made it to the AFC Championship game twice in 78 and 79. In 79 they were a Mike Renfro called back TD away from the Super Bowl.

Both Houston Cougers and Rice Owls have won bowl games, but I don't believe either has ever been the national champion.

The old AFL Oilers won the first to AFL championships, and the NFL Oilers went to the AFL championship game twice, losing both to the Steelers.

ok but still we have never made it to the SB much less won it ...............

oilers came into the "NFL" in 1970 so this is like 40 years and counting

Ain't no curse. You just need a top-flight organization (Owner, GM,
Head Coach, Coordinators, POSITION COACHES.)

The Rockets proved the curse to be a lie, twice. The Texans just haven't
hit on their front office choices yet. They still need to learn how to
recognize dead weight a year earlier than they have been (Carr, Capers/
Casserly, Kubiak.)

Another pathetic performance that wasn't surprising at all. I gave up on the season after the loss at Indy, and looking down the schedule I figure they would drop all the way to 4-10 when the last 2 meaningless games by that time come along. I was out in Big Bend last week and was glad to miss watching that pitiful performance by the team, and didn't expect much this week, and they delivered up to my expectations.

I think this team has enough talent to have a better record, even with the poor defense, if there was a competent coach roaming the sideline. Why do the Texans even have a offensive coordinator if Kubiak is going to call the plays? He has enough problems managing a game even when there is someone else making the play calls.

I'm also numb to the pain of watching this team, and don't care anymore. At this point I just figure they lose out and give the next GM and coach a high pick for next year.

This just sucks i dont want to lose out.... Losing sucks

I want so badly for us to turn this ship around

if we lose out and get a new regimne whos to say they wont suck for another 4 years ???????

What do we really have to lose at this point? It looks like we'll be sucking eggs as long as we stick with the status quo.

You would assume that if the new regime also sucked we would at a minimum have new stuff to ***** about which would be an improvement than the Groundhog Day hell that the Texans under Kubiak have put us through.

Holy **** is all I know. I'm pretty sure today was the end of getting frustrated/disappointed, and the era of Apathy has been ushered in. Here's to the remainder of the 2010 NFL season.:kubepalm:

My exact reaction to. I didn't laugh though and stayed silent. I just changed the channel to Fox's NFL coverage, rolled up a j and went to the library for some study time. If this loss had happened earlier in the season, I would have been yelling my ass off pissed, but I don't have the energy to do that with this sorry ass coaching staff and team not playing to their potential. It's frustrating, but you just shrug your shoulders and hope for next year...

Yeah, when he released the ball I told my G/F it was game over. We had one CB on three Jag receivers. Shocker that this P.O.S defense found a way to line up wrong in PREVENT. Just a dumb bunch of losers. If you want some chance to keep people, you have to fire Frank Bush tomorrow. This **** stain of a team needs a temporary scape goat. That being said, McNair won't do a ****ing thing. He'll say Kubiak can't bat a ball down and count more money. I wish I could kick myself in the head. Time to forget about this shitty team of ******* and watch Walking Dead.

Man the Jags have our number now or something 3 straight wins i hope to god it will not be 4

I thought this team was in rebuilding mode LOL they lied
