Matt's Press Conference

Chris Brown was on the verge of balling like a baby when he was interviewed in the locker room the last time we played in Jacksonville. What is it about that place? Say it ain't so Matt!

...Jesus. I've been the biggest Kubiak supporter, but today ended it for me. We need a culture change. If we have a QB crying in a post-game interview, all is lost. What do you think Rex Ryan would of done if that was the leader of his team?

People are tweeting he was crying ... ugh

As a girl, I do feel for them. As a football fan, I agree with texanhead --

There's NO CRYING IN FOOTBALL!

fwiw i was listening and just heard somone who was v down. wasnt watchin though. i think he said it well when he said 'we have to come back & reset our jaw'

Crying is not allowed. I hope to hell it is not true. If it is, then we can't count on him.

did he fumble? did he jump offside? did he bat the ball to the other team? did he knee the ball to the other team? did he drop the ball as he was crossing the GL? has he ever let us down on GW/game tying drives?

but if he may/ may not have had 1 tear down his face after an absolute crushing loss, he has to go? i say BULL-**** to any ***** like you who says dumb **** like that. obviously hes not as manly as any of you tough f'ers sitting at your keyboard but still

There's no crying in football!!

Signed,
Tom Hanks

BS!!!! Crying shows you care!!! I would respect him more for crying than laughing it off as if it were "just another game!!!!" (I might NEVER forgive him for making that statement!!) If you think we are all frustrated, just think how the players feel. I feel bad for them, regardless of what happened on the field! They are a poorly coached team, any moron can see that.

Tomorrow is a new day, but, the pain of this loss will linger for awhile, for the players as well as the fans.

I didn't say he has to go. I said a QB shouldn't cry. It ain't right. And go ahead and drink your Kool-Aid. You would rather kiss the players & coaches butts and make gods out of them to worship them than have them win football games. You are full of crap and not a fan that cares about winning.

I didn't think he said much... and when he responds to the question of how teams deal with a loss and 3 game losing streak like this he says we'll see Wednesday?!?!???? wow. what a capable leader we have there.

This team has no fight! And I would imagine that Kubiak is acting the same way right now. This is a tough game, they need to show their toughness to one another regardless of how they frikkin feel! Losses are hard, but they always happen. They have to find enough intestinal fortitude to get a hard win, get over the hump, and get something of a season going. In the end, no one and I mean No One is going to say ' oh poor Texans, they had the hardest season in the nfl but they tried hard'. No one cares. All that matters is more wins than losses. In a game where every inch matters, we're losing out and have to get over egos and expectation, and just frikkin get the damn job done.

You guys are assholes. Seriously, you want our guys to care about football and be passionate... guess what, crying is part of the game. I love how everyone on here is a super-tough-guy. Good for you, really.

care about playing in the first half

Not a huge fan of men crying but at least he cares
Keep your head up. The season is over but u can't show that bitter reality by crying

May I be the first to proclaim
"let the texans draft talk begin"

What do you want them to do when the game just ended? Show up to fight against the Jets 2 hours later? That game is scheduled for NEXT Sunday. There are no doubleheaders in the NFL. What do you want him to say? If he didn't cry and if he just threw out a bunch of angry platitude nonsense, wouldn't you just sit there and say how this team is all talk and that it only matters what you do on the field, etc?

Blah blah blah.

As others have said, sheading(?) a tear = you care.

Other than that, More Captain Haddock, less Bianca Castafiore (Let the googling begin) :)

Man i'd cry too. That is the second game in a row where Matt TRIED to come up in clutch and his WR just drops it. Dressen just completes that pass who knows? It goes to OT for sure and who knows what happens then.

There was one player (Nolan I think) that stood like "WTF just happened..." for like 6 mins before moving. I can't even imagine what was said in the locker room after that one.

You guys are being Texan-centric. Crying happens all the time in this league. As we've all witnessed today, football is a game that breaks down a man's morale to the core when things don't bounce his way.

Besides, I'd rather have a QB who cries and feels pain because of a loss instead of a Romo who's all Zen about it.

David Carr would smile on the podium after losses.

lighten up.. you seem to be more uptight than the ones that are griping.

at least they are venting and letting it out

It's stupid because it has absolutely nothing to do with anything, and it's not even funny either. Call it uptight, I call it a failed attempt at humor. Nothing personal.

well we are playing the Jets next week and you brought up the jets and should matt be thinking about the Jets already..

*edit* my personal feelings. I don't care if he cries. Just shows he cares and quite frankly with him crying, I feel he feels the season is over for the Texans and the playoffs.. unless the colts fade, we won't catch them and we will probably have to win the division to get to the playoffs.

so let me get this straight, you are a fan that cares about winning (unlike me obviously) yet you are giving out about one of our best players because he showed he cares about winning in a press conference too???

yet im the one full of ****. gtfo of here.

:kubepalm:

Schaub didn't even know it was 3rd down on that Dreesen pass. He thought he was going to be able to run up and spike the ball.

I don't mind the crying. But you cry after a tough playoff loss. Not after a loss to a jags team when your team is 4-5.

Really? It's not sad to lose the way we lost?

I'm not even paid by the team and I feel suicidal about it. Demoralizing crap.

What the hell is crying for!!!?? He's a freaking millionaire who gets paid millions to play a game!!!!!!!!!!!!

When you see a player cry at this point, it might be a sign that the players are coming to grips with the fact that their coaches may be clueless. This could very well mark the beginning of the end. When you look at things from 10,000 feet, it starts to look like the whole organization is lost. Can't draft, can't put a decent team on the field. I think Bob needs to bring a Parcells type figure in. Someone who can just give him an honest opinion of what is wrong and I mean HONEST opinion. No, "My coach, QB, (insert other figure here) is untouchable this time." Someone to watch the practices this year, and study every film of every game and really give an honest assessment.

If McNair is really serious about bringing a championship to this town, he must leave all of his sacred cows at the altar this time around.

One word sums up this team and the Kubiak era....

SOFT!!!

This team has the mental toughness of a insecure teenage girl and the testicular fortitude of a post-op tranny.

Soft all the way around.....soft on both lines, soft at LBer (we're suddenly "under-trained" there ), soft in the secondary, the coaching staff coaches softness, and the players all around play soft (except for AJ and Foster). We promote pansy ass football and then we wonder why this happens every year.

And to top it all off, now our QB (who should be a team leader) is crying in the locker room. Good Grief.

No, because I look at the big picture. Big deal if they would have won in OT. The Defense still sucks monkey balls. The offense can't get it going until the second half. They are just not a very good football team, Period...

I actually think this loss might help by putting another nail in Kubiaks coffin. Don't get me wrong. I am not happy that the Texans loss but I would be more furious if we were 6-2 before the game and actually having a shot to make some noise in the playoffs.

Agreed. This team hasn't had an ounce of toughness simce Kubiak took over.
