Cowboys Suck Shirts

Dude, I love the shirts, especially the broken star! If they had pockets, I would probably order 20.

:worthless:

I bought these shirts sight unseen, and I'm dying to know what they look like. Won't get mine for another day or two....

could you please post a pic?

I don't know how to get the pics from my phone to the computer....

upload that sucker to facebook.

Dude, if I knew how to hook my phone to the computer, I would post it. 20 yrs of electronics did not teach me **** about connecting my piece of **** phone to my laptop.

have you tried emailing it to yourself? It's just like texting, but you send it to your eMail address.

Ok, first time I have tried this... from my phone.
I think it looks better than this, but here goes.

Thanks for the pic...I will use it for my Facebook avatar.

If you like the shirt you will dig the rub. It'll smell up the whole kitchen when you open the bag.

Thunder...your package may come today. I looked at tracking and it arrived in Pt A at 6:15am.

Nitro...I am sure Thurs will be the day.

Look up thread and see the pic

I bought a couple of those from Roc at Gary's last event at Bubba's. I think it was the Chili cook-off where home boy had an accident on his motorcyle..

Bill...you should see yours today, too.

Y'all fire up the pit this weekend and let me know what you think of our stuff.

Thanks

Chicken is thawing right now. Hopefully package comes in this AM. If not, then no worries, I got some chicken rub of my own. Is it coming via USPS?

Actually, I need your recommendations as to best way to cook the brisket. I was thinking about going the oven/grill method. 5-7 hours at 180 degrees in the oven then finish it off on the grill for about an hour. We're going to have that the next day.

Mmmmmm rubbbbb.

Glad you got your stuff, Bill.

Hopefully the mailman grabbed it before going out on his route today.

Brisket...sometimes we start ours in the oven to save time. Rub her down real good with some liquid if you like. Soda, worcestershire, olive oil or italian dressing is good. Then rub on a nice coat (when using the chicken rub get as much as you can under the skin) of rub and let it sit for at least a half hour.. That gives the sugars & spices time to break down into a kinda glaze.

Thanks

*somber music playing*

No rub for me today. Mail just came.

I hate you, Texan_Bill, JB, and Thunderkyss.

Hmmm. Soda? What kind? What do the different liquids do for it? I don't think I have ever put any sort of liquid on my briskets.

As for chicken, we always buy boneless, skinless breasts. Is there such a thing as letting it sit for too long? Would overnight be overkill?

Overnight is cool.

The last brisket we did Ma marinated it in Dr Pepper overnight. Then rubbed her down the next morning before she threw it outside. You can use Coke too. We use 7up in our chicken marinade.

Mailman came knocking on my door! IT CAME AFTERALL!! Hells yeah! Magnet's firmly on my fridge.

But the weather... it's like totally dumping right now. Where did I put that poncho?

Does that mean you don't hate us anymore? :shades:

Sorry Frog and Starstruck! :D

Cool! Win or lose, I just hope that we don't suck on the field. So far we tend to win at home and so do you guys. :) Out of curiousity, is there any particular reason that the Star is off center, perhaps to tie in with the break?

I kinda thought their star, Jerry Jones, was pretty off-center.

Nitro, when you cook it this way do you wrap it in foil for the oven time? And do you leave the foil on when you put it on the grill?

And how do you determine how long to cook it?

I tell you what... just tell me how to cook a brisket via the oven/charcoal method.

I usually cook depending on the weight of the meat. I have an 8 pounder so I figured 5-7 hours. As for foil... sometimes. I'm still trying to find my niche more than anything else. Just need to find the best way for briskets. The last two briskets I made were pretty shitty to be honest with you. Meat was tough as heck but flavor has always been good. I learned how to grill from my ma who is a vegetarian. LOL.

I CAN do it the charcoal way if it's that much better. I am a little concerned about the weather tomorrow though. I'd like to season it tonight unless that's not advisable with the rub.

I think it was just the angle that I shot the picture at... (bad grammar, ending a sentence with a preposition)... In any event, you should stop by the Blue Crew, if not for the pre-season game, the REAL game!!! You could meet a bunch of knuckleheads all in one shot! ;)

We will poke fun at you, but it's done with only fun in mind. We're harmless and encourage other fans to join us.

I'm not a brisket guy, though my wife loves them. My dad cooked in competition at the County Fair for many years and always did well. There he would cook them on a big pit wrapped in foil. At home cooking a single brisket he would cook in the oven. No grill. Also wrapped in foil.

As far as the rub, I would think overnight would be fine.

Are the shirts still available? Obviously I'd be interested in the rub as well.

Sorry these are all gone. I have a friend in the shirt bitness and I may have somemore made if he can when there is some demand.

Rub...I got. I will give you the same deal... 2 bags...one of each for $15+shipping.

So....I know somebody has used some. Let's hear it. I am a big boy and can take it.

Used the bbq rub on brisket. Awesome!

There are photos in the BBQ thread. Check 'em out.

I used BBQ rub on brisket last Friday in the oven and it was good but I used the poultry rub last night on some grilled boneless/skinless chicken and it was F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C!

I've got a beautiful flap steak coated with the BBQ rub right now. I plan to throw it on the grill at around noon today. Maybe this stuff is best over fire? I don't know but I sure will let you know.

On Saturday, we intend to grill some prawns alongside a short slab of ribs with this stuff.

The rub makes for some awesome ultra-thin mopping up sauce, FYI.

Yes it does. My wife did not use any of her special bbq sauce because the dripping sauce was so fantastic.
