Are we so bad that we expect to find contributors on offense/defense in the 6th round outside of a specialty role?
Are there two more picks or just one?
A kick returner. Wow. Are we so good to make specialist picks now?
5'5", 166?
4.21 40 time...
When this guy hits 88 miles per hour youre gonna see some serious ****
We have just one more pick left.
Looks like the Texans love the SEC.
10 bench press reps at 225 for that size is pretty impressive imo.
And is there anything wrong with that?
If that's true, I have to wonder where Andre Davis fits in now?
Anyone questioning this pick needs to check their cynicism at the door because getting a little guy with ELITE speed at this stage in the draft could be a brilliant move. Trindon Holliday could make an immediate impact on this team in the KR game.
I think he is cut now. He gave very little value as a KR. This move allows JJ to focus on just being a WR. Good pick.

197 -- Texans -- KR Trindon Holliday
Holliday is really an interesting pick for the Texans. He's one of the smallest players in college football, but arguably the fastest. His primary use will be on special teams as a return man. But, over time, he could develop into a slot receiver and someone you try and get the ball to on reverses and bubble screens. He's a play-maker in space.
Third QB taken by the Panthers this draft..... thats playing the odds.
We have 1 FB on the roster... TEs = FBs on this team. So, not only do the TEs tend to be very envolved in special teams play, they also account for two positions on the offensive field. With Anthony Hill's injury, OD's contract situation, they are going to take some of these guys... If he was a highly rated FB, would you be okay with it? That's essentially what we just took.

nowhere near as impressive as mccluster whos less than 10 lbs heavier & did 20 reps
Calloway is solid value for the 7th.
My best left:
David Pender CB Purdue
Justin Woodall S Alabama
Lagarette Blount RB Oregon
Jeff Owens DT Georgia
Brandon Deaderick DT Alabama
Jevan Snead QB Ole Miss
Zac Robinson QB Oklahoma St.
Snead should have waited another year and is more than likely going to be a undrafted
Nice pick, Trindon Holliday.

Brandon carter is still on the board??I thought he was gone already.
I saw 4.21 for his 40 time.
That is FAST!
I want to see Jeff Owens here in the 7th. Strong NT type, but has the same size as the other Texans DTs. I could see a QB here as well. Hell, this last round (Smith and Holliday) energized me a bit. Smith can be a real nasty player in the trenches, something this team needs. I could see him getting decent playing time by the second half of the season. Holliday is a little speed demon who will allow us to jettison Davis. And give him 5-10 plays on offense, and watch the D squirm.

so how did he get past Al Davis?
...Al probably just fired somebody because he missed getting the fastest guy at the Combine
Reverses, fake reverses, screens, draws..... if nothing out his speed will be a great misdirection tool because you have to respect it.
