NFL Draft 2010: Day 3

Zoltan!

Hey!! how did you get a picture of the Sunshine Club's super-secret member wave?
:bat:

now see, when I said draft a punter in the fifth, you guys snickered at me. now that Belichick has done just that (not to mention the cool name), it ain't such a weird idea now is it?

I´d be very happy with Faneca... I´m sure he has some good years left in him.

Right now I think they should just go with bpa available, or most potential. I wouldn`t be against drafting a punter or even a kicker, or perhaps a backup QB like Pike or Lefevere.

So what happens to his $5M in guaranteed money. Will his new team (if any) be stuck with that?

The Jets have to pay him that if he doesn't get picked up.

If he does get picked up, then the Jets still have to pay the difference between his new contract and the guaranteed money.

Would still like Reshad Jones, Donovan Warren, Anthony McCoy, Myron Rolle, Johnathan Dwyer, or an OL. Preferably a S/CB/OL.

Appartently the RB's were the problem with the run game. LOL

Maybe Busing is improving this offseason.

LOL

3 more picks. Right now I think our draft is a C, for all the fuss I have put up. Jackson was a good pick, Tate was a good pick (not a Gerhart, but still a good pick), Mitchell I am coming around to (too much of a project for my liking, but we will see), I still dislike the LB, and The Pencil Neck is forcing me to at least accept the TE. The CB/FS is interesting, I did not have him ranked too highly, but I am glad they addressing an area of need.

3 more picks to improve the grade. I want an OL or two, and maybe an offensive weapon.

My top 10 right now:

1. Jonathon Dwyer, RB
2. George Selvie, Rush End
3. Donovan Warren, CB
4. Kurt Coleman, S
5. Blair White, WR
6. Marshall Newhouse, OG
7. Tony Pike, QB
8. Tony Washington, OT
9. Jeff Byers, OG
10. Kyle Calloway, OT

Not that anyone cares...

Newhouse off the board. I would be interested in Dwyer or White or an OG

That TE from Houston the Rams just took was not one of the 2500 or so people Keyser had on his draft spreadsheet.

Does that make that pick a reach?

Remember though, you have to give higher weight to higher picks. A 1st is expected to be a playmaker and a second is expected to be a key rotational guy. We got 2 starters. Our third is a guy who can become a key rotational guy. That right there is an A-.

The next three are a B-/C+ area for me. But considering the top 3 are much higher weighted, I am in the B+ area right now. Conversely if the bottom 3 become superstars and the top 3 flame out, the grade goes to about a D.

We have 2 in the 6th and 1 in the 7th right? Do you know what numbers the picks are?

I bet dollars to donuts that we grab another late round QB, I think Kubiak wants to try and coach one up to be at least a solid back up if not more. Who's out there at QB that might go?
