Yes they are...People forget they were a damn good team last year......their QB just shot them in the foot down the stretch. They lost, because of Farve, not because of the team they have. Sanchez just has to play smart and they can beat just about anybody.

Come on now CB, they didn't lose because of Favre. Favre played a big role in those last few games, but it wasn't all on him like you're claiming. Favre was hurt for one, and was still playing and Coles was absolutely atrocious in those last few games with the big drops he had in crucial moments of a few of those games. Their D line wasn't dominating people at the end of the season last year either. Their defense last year was very Jeckell and Hyde actually. Some games they would dominate while others they'd give up a lot of points. This year they have a lot more discipline and Ryan brought in a few of HIS GUYS and their a much better defense.
As soon as I saw Sanchez's first two pre season games I said he'd be a very good NFL QB. He continues to keep improving and him being their starter won't hurt them that much this year I don't think. They are a running team any way, and he's capable of making nice plays.
Favre said on Wednesday he felt like he was harming the Jets with slight misses on some throws. He said he spoke with the general manager, offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach -- he didn't name head coach Eric Mangini -- but the consensus was to finish out that season.

I just watched the first half.Anybody watch this game? I watched a lot of it when the Texans game was at commercial or in between snaps.
The Pats D isn't what it once was. They play a lot of 4-3 now because they simply don't have the personnel to play the 3-4 anymore. Who's the captain of the defense? Jerod Mayo. He's injured, didn't play.
Pats offense. Who moves the chains for that Pats offense. Wes Welker. He's injured, didn't play.
The Jets are good, their defense is very good, but in week 2 most teams don't have to worry about playing without 2 of their top 3 or 4 players. The Pats did, and they kept it pretty damn close anyway. They really should have lost this game by more.
Usually when Brady gets blitzed, he goes to Wes Welker. Welker is key to that offense. It hurt them bad in that game. The Jets just kept blitzing and the Pats slot recievers weren't getting open like Welker does.
Yea the Jets beat the Pats, but your not talking about your normal Pats team.
At this moment the Jet's appear to be the best team in the AFC. If they continue to play like they have the last two games, they should be in a good position to make a run at the Super Bowl this year.
Best team in the AFC? No way will they be the best team in the AFC? Not with those WR's on offense and a rookie QB there.
Teams will eventually start scoring better against that defense. THey look like they are a very good team though. Ryan will be a very good coach in my opinion.
I agree with you. That is why I said "at this moment the Jet's appear to be the best team in the AFC."
Also, other teams will start to spot patterns in Sanchez play, and then the game will become more difficult for him. The Jet's are not unbeatable.
But as of this moment, after the first two games, which team in the AFC appears to be stronger than the New York Jets, in your opinion?
Wow. They've played the number 3 and number 5 offenses from last year, and so far, they've yet to allow a single offensive touchdown. Sanchez looks like a veteran.
Jets offense will get exposed against the Titans. Their defense is good but their offense isn't very good. They have played our defense, and a rebuilding Pats defense who's best player is injured.
I love their defense, but this love affair with Sanchez is way overblown. He's been successfully not messing up, but he hasn't won anything yet. Its the defense that is winning them games.
Look at that Pats team they beat. That team almost lost to Buffalo WITH Jerod Mayo and Wes Welker. They didn't even have those two available for the Jets game.
Ditto. I just haven't bought the Jets yet. Maybe after a few weeks, but not yet.
Sanchez didn't bobble the snap for the field goal. He didn't make the endless false starts.
you mean the fact that he's a rookie? yes.He is starting to show his true colors.
you mean the fact that he's a rookie? yes.
yeah, he had like 14 starts at USC or something. no doubt.
but he's looked pretty good at times.
