Sat in the bullpen today...

for the first time ever, my kinda fans. Loved it, you guys rock!

I sat there twice now. First with Andrew6 for the Minnesota game and then I took dalemurphy's seats off him last week. Both times I brought my brothers. No place better than the bullpen.

I felt like I was an annoyance to my seat neighbors up in the 600's where I sit. The lady next to me put her finger in her ear more often than the average person. She was nice about it though. I have a bad feeling about the people to the left of me though. Maybe a fracas is in the future. I hope not but I'm not about to stop yelling for three hours. Those who know me know I don't curse nor do I spew crap at others. It's just the usual GO TEXANS TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE stuff. I'm just a little loud. Maybe my accent annoys people pretty bad or something. People can be such debbie downers. Oh well.

Nitro, people from every corner of the stadium loathe me. I don't cuss either. I tend to be loud and very exuberant and apparently that's not appropriate at a football stadium? In the end, that is the reason why I moved to the bullpen. I was looking for freedom to practice my religion on Sundays. It was expensive and I risked a lot, but I think we're building something special in these new colonies... i mean, in the bullpen.

dale, sat in your seats, thanks again, had a blast!

The Bullpen is a lot of fun. One of the few places I've sat where you don't get castigated for standing up and showing emotion every once in a while.

I got a chance to meet Vinny. The dude is too cool and his knowledge of the game of football is encyclopedic. It's always nice to meet someone who loves what they do. I also ran into Dread-head with the Blue Crew...WHAT A JERK! In person he really DOES look like that thing from Predator!

It was great seeing you at the tailgate Dread! I saw Vinny when I was leaving the stadium. He still looks the same but just a little healthier and possibly happier than the last time I saw him.

It's always great having fans from the MB visit the Bullpen. It's just a fun place to be on game day! FINALLY, after eight years, people are beginning to realize you just don't mess with us diehards. We stand, scream, high five until our hands hurt, hug, laugh, even do a little K-I-S-S-I-N-G on occassions, lol, (selective about that though) and just have a great time. I know there are diehard, fantastic fans throughout the stadium, and I certainly appreciate what you have to deal with, the debbie downers as Nitro calls them. Just keep on reping!! It's football, and if those seat dwellers don't like it, they can move. JMO!:shetexan:

I sat in 115 since I had family going and needed 4 tix. One good thing about the Bull Pen is MULTIPLE BEER VENDORS constantly running between 116 & 117. They are pretty scarce everywhere else I have sat.

Wear a Texans hardhat! We've sat in Gridiron, Tx. since 2002, and we've never been asked to sit down, be quiet, or even glared at (that we noticed). I think people pretty much expect a bit of energy and emotion from a group of guys wearing hardhats, so I figure they aren't inclined to say anything to us if it does bother them. :tedc:

Then again, you might just be sitting near some fuddy duddies.

I wear face paint. A lot of it!

Do you know where I can get one of those hardhats? I'd really like to get one for work. I do construction.

I got mine at Home Depot (I've bought several over the years but have given them away or have gotten them signed by players). I don't think HD is selling them any more, but I remember the Granger store was selling them, too.

Here's a link to Lowe's, which has a good price on them: Texans hard hat :)

Ol' Dred-head. Dude seems taller and meaner here on the message board and frankly, I'm way scarier looking than him, even with his ten feet of tentacled hair (pssst....dude is a pussycat. Don't let the alien-eyes scare you).

You missed the "push-up" challenge in the Blue Crew he had AFTER the game, that was some funny stuff!

I can imagine...after meeting Dred, I just can't picture him without a smile on his face. He seems like a pretty happy guy. :cow:

I've always enjoyed his posts, and would definitely like to meet him. One day I'll get back up there. I'm hoping for the Monday Nighter.

I sometimes wonder if the "seat police" crowd are so bad in Reliant because of what the stadium is like. Ive been to sporting events in other stadiums, specifically ones that have bleachers and no roof, and you never get people telling you to be quiet or sit down. The temperature controlled environment, the comfortable chairs, the top notch service all leads to that "classy" feel, which inevitably leads to problems.

When the stadium sucks, its cold as hell, and the seats are painful, no one sits down ;)

 Dude not so loud. If it gets out I'm a decent human being my students might find out. These kids can smell fear.

Hey. A Raider fan (but all around cool guy) called me out. I had to respond. Kinda wish I hadn't She-Texan ate my ribs while he and I were knockin' out push ups. :splits:
