This is hearsay from the pigskinaddiction board but here is what they said

Via 101 ESPN in St. Louis a Scout.com scout said he had heard directly that Kansas City had received a trade offer from Denver. Denver would give both their firsts in exchange to move up to the #3 spot ahead of Seattle and draft Mark "Dirty" Sanchez. That would be #12 & #18 for #3. This offer is said to be on the table.

KC has also drawn a trade request from the Eagles for their two firsts (#21 and #28) plus a second (not sure if it is this year or next... i think next) to move up to #3. They are said to be enamored with Jason Smith, OT.

Kansas City is said to be mulling over both offers and supposedly, the Rams are going to call the Broncos and see if a deal there can be struck as they want multiple picks. Not sure if any of this will happen, but it is very interesting to say the least. The Scout (Chris Schuber, I think) said they are both waiting for KC and are VERY possible.

Preliminary things. Hey if this happens, would you like to do this or that. I doubt nothing will go down before the draft.

the only Question then would become....which QB do they pick? You know the guy who picked Brady out of the pile is dead and gone. What I find interesting about Josh McDaniel's in his first gig .....is how much it parallels Belichick's. Belichick had to deal with Super man in Cleveland and it got him run. And if you talk to one of those dog pound guys to this day....they will tell you Belichick was wrong to run Bernie Kosar. Now McDaniels has stuck his finger in the hornets nest.....to a guy who doesn't back down from anyone.....and he got burned. I believe this rumor. and I will enjoy watching McDaniels twist in the wind if one of the QBs is his pick. Josh....no one blames you for attempting to make your team better. But someone has got to make a call to the franchise QB to let him know what is going on. That was pretty stupid.

Bird in the hand always trumps two rookies with potential. Potential will not feed the bull dog if the QB busts out. And they all have a chance to bust out.....which is why Detroit should.....build from the inside out.

i completed my research on KC just this morning for my final board. I have Chiefs picking Orakpo as moving D to 3-4. Team signed FA Vrable to start @ LB backed by FA Darrell Robertson and Zach Thomas to 1 year $2m. Also signed are Monty Beisel and Corey Mays. About.com has Curry going here, but I like Orakpo. Either will not effect my #15.

I'd be all over that Denver offer & it might even be sweetened with a later day 2 selection. KC had losses due to signing Howie's boy but had several close games in 2nd half playing much better.

This has to be a dream come true for the Cheifs or anybody else who's got a real high pick (certainly top 5) in this very weak draft. If this is true betcha new Chiefs GM and Belicheck protege jumps all over the chance to make the move.
Normall I'd be skeptical of 2 division rivals making such a move, but the new Cheifs GM and new Broncos HC have an obvious connection. Wouldn't happen until Chiefs are on the clock come the 25th, otherwise somebody else might move ahead of Denvers #3.

Philly is trading their second first to Buffalo for jason peters, so the buffalo scenario is out.

I will say this. If Denver trades both 1st rounders to get to Sanchez, the city will be PISSED. They need major D help and would be far smarter to take two solid D players instead.

Looks like Buffalo could be looking for one of the tackles Michael Oher or Andre Smith at #11. With #28, I bet they target their pass rush with Robert Ayers if he's available.

Agreed on Denver. Their best course of action, imo too, would be to fix their defensive front 7. Ex. Tyson Jackson + Rey Maualuga would be MUCH better for them short and long term than Sanchez.

A big upside to Denver taking Sanchez is that the city has a big Hispanic population. On the other hand they never had much trouble putting fannies in seats in the Mile-High city.
