46 - Rashad Jennings, RB - Big back to pound it in the red zone. If you want a stud back, you can't wait past the second.

1.) Brian Cushing - Aggressive OLB who hails from the Carroll Trojan defense, leader and impact player who can lay down the hammer.

2.) Patrick Chung - May struggle in coverage but can hit well and brings aggression and instincts to the table as a player.

Ooh, I like both these too. Wood seems to have some potential! I wanted to put Michael Oher or Malcolm Jenkins but I really don't see them slipping despite popular belief. Some players I like get selected where they should and not drop like some gurus think (see Antoine Cason, Ray Rice and Jacob Hester).
William Moore is one player that the internet fanbase are slamming. I see the nfl teams thinking differently and he'll probably go in the 2nd round. I wouldn't be against that selection.

That was when everyone on this board wanted him in the first round and some guys were even saying they would take him over Taylor Mays.

Now everyone is saying that he is a third round pick at best.

I don't buy it. I've had him ranked as a second round prospect all along. I think that is where he belongs and if he was there at #46 I would take him. If you could just teach the knucklehead how to wrap up when he hits then you would have a solid NFL player.

I'm glad you noticed the sig though...

I think the real William Moore is somewhere in between those two players. That's why I think he is a solid second round player.

Yeah that is what I meant in the 2nd round. If we were to go RB in the first and get our first defensive player in the 2nd I really would like Sean Smith or Paul Krugar but of course it all depends on who we would grab in the 1st round on defense as well if we went with a defensive pick.

Polo, you know that there is no way that Lauranitis will be available with our 2nd pick. Now that would be freaking awsome if it happened of course but that is a pipe dream that would never happen.

WHy don't you put another 2nd round pick in there?

Like the Beanie Wells pick though.

What I think will happen is a trade down and I take Robert Ayers DE later in first round and my 2nd round will be Ron Brace DT to stop run.

If no trade, my guys Raji and Jenkins should be gone and I reluctantly take Vontae Davis CB @#15 as only player that might beat out a starter. In 2nd round, Brace.

On my board I have RB Rashad Jennings and FS Rashad Johnson available at our selections in 3rd. We will have two thirds due to trade down. I'll not be shocked if Wells is taken by us some time in first.

I wouldn't have a big problem with this. It would certainly make our secondary a lot deeper with talent. I like Sean Smith a little more than Moore though.

If Laurinitis isn't there (I think he might be because of his less than inspiring 40 times) I'd go with Sean Smith, FS in the second and my 5th round pick would instead be Jason Phillips ILB/SLB.

I love Sean Smith, but he is either a CB or a FS. If we took Jenkins then we wouldn't need another CB this early so I'm thinking more immediate need here. Eugene Wilson is a pretty good starting FS and he's only 27. Nic Ferguson on the other hand is a marginal starter at SS and he's 34. Also I'm not sold on Dominique Barber as our longterm solution at SS, he needs to prove it and competition is the best remedy for that.

To be honest I would be happy if we traded back to the mid 20's range and took Smith and picked up an extra pick.
 
#15 M.Jenkins/V.Davis - I believe our LB corps has 3 young players in Ryans, Adibi, and Diles who can produce and the addition of B.Davis and C.June should add quality depth and raise the level of competition. Outside of Dunta we haven't really had a great ball hawking guy in the secondary. If Jenkins falls it would be sweet, but V.Davis could be an option as well.

#46 Rashad Jennings - Last season we enjoyed a great season by a young RB and the respect gained for our running throughout the year opened up other players to have big years. AJ and OD both had Pro Bowl Year's as a result of the amped up passing games. Rashad is a bigger back who can grind it out and would be a perfect compliment to Slaton to keep the run game consistent throughout the year.

How many more days until the draft...this stuff is getting old.

No, no, no, no way on Moore in the first round. Moore simply is not first round talent at all. Mid 2nd round sure, but no way in the first round.

Agree with you about Barber though.

Well then you and I have very similar interests with whom we would like with our first two picks Polo. I believe that I said Wells and Kruger, but I would like Smith just as much as Krugar. Either one of those guys would be fine with me. I'm real big on Smith because we could use him at S or at CB.

I'd agree with your assessments. I think he'd be a real solid 2nd round choice for us. I don't know much about the new secondary coach (Gibbs) but hopefully he can teach this kid up. I don't necessarily see Moore as a MUST start early in the season, I think he'd be a guy we could groom in but I do think he'd see the field a substantial bit.

The thing about his senior season was that he was playing up on the LOS a lot covering the slot WR. I doubt this is something we'd be doing, I'd think of him more of a S for our team than he was as a CB his senior season. I believe that coupled with an injury made him have a less than productive season.

I like the Antone Smith selection. I think he is a good fit for our running game and will be over looked in the draft because FSU has dropped a bit.

I'd be troubled if we made it out of the 2nd round without filling needs at RB, Safety, C/G... That being said, those are two excellent players and it would be difficult to criticize the organization for taking either of them. I'm shocked that Robiskie apparently is expected by so many to fall deep into the 2nd round. Barring serious injury problems, there is no way that guy doesn't become a very good NFL receiver... and, it won't take long, either.

I really want to trade down in the first. But, assuming that doesn't happen and nobody falls unexpectedly. Here's my ideal:

15. Jenkins
46. Eric Wood
 
Anybody hear the Eric Wood interview yesterday on 1560AM?? Guy was impressive. Sounds very intelligent, is a film junkie... I would love for this guy to fall to our 2nd round pick. He's up there on my list for that pick, like Dale!

I'd be thrilled with Jenkins/Wood!
