Thoughts?

That's a great mock. Lot of picks I like.

I would be pleased with a draft like Cushing/McCoy. To be honest, I like Donald Brown better and would prefer him. But hell you did good.

If we got in that situation I would hope we trade back and pick up Clay a little later, But only because of personal preference, I'd also target Delmas with the trade back if Clay went off.

I will admit I don't know alot about LeSean McCoy, isn't he similar to Slaton?, I think I'd rather go Brace, Chung, or even Eric Wood (I liked what I saw during the few times I watched the combine)

Pretty solid though, since you can't really mock trades.

IMO he is the closest thing to Slaton in this draft but a little bigger. I dont know who I like better, Mcoy or Brown. Thats tough!

Cushing in the 1st is good but give us Chung in the 2nd, we don't need a starting RB, we need a backup that'll probably be drafted in the 4th or 5th round. You just don't take a backup RB this early in the draft, especially when there are major holes to be filled at other positions.

LaSean McCoy doesn't have the speed that LaDainian Tomlinson has....but he has great Field vision. And he runs heavy. I'm going to be surprised if he gets by teams looking of a bell cow back. Sproles is a great weapon. But he isn't a three hundred touch a year back. You got to figure McCoy is on the bolts radar.

Seven to ten touches a game that's what we're looking for in a back up running back. Keep SS fresh for the December run. Unless of course you're posting that every word coming out of Kubiak's lips about SS was a lie at the end of the year ? I believe SS is the Texans guy. And they are not going to interfere with nothing that has the guy working for his big pay day. He is motivated enough working under a third round contract. From what I saw, he doesn't need to be pushed.

Yeah, that's the main reason I don't do trades. Who would have guessed all the trades in the first round that Baltimore made last year?

In the NFL you need two good RB's and if Lesean Mccoy fell all the way to our 2nd it would be hard to pass him up. He could easily be drafted in the first round.

Having Tomlinson under contract & tagging Sproles the chargers have bigger worries than RB in the first this year, and they don't have a 2nd rounder.

Again you need two good RB's in this league... if Mccoy fell to our second it would be hard to pass him up. Drafting Mccoy in the second doesn't make him the starter it just means we have a good running-back to step in if anything happens to Slaton.

Exactly....what will they do if the toe is chronic and he can't go.....give Sproles the ball 325 times next year? They may hit on the second day. But their window is closing on this team to win a super bowl. They're going to have to make a fish or cut bait with Merryman next off season. They are do or die this season. If LT can't go , they're dead at the starting gate.

Let me get this straight... you think the Chargers should draft Mccoy in the first even though they have Tomlinson, Sproles & Jacob Hester (who was drafted in the third last year), but you don't like the Texans drafting him in the 2nd with just Slaton? The Chargers can draft a third or fourth string Rb later in the draft.

Absolutely. that's the point....just like the Texans at this point you don't "know" for sure you have Dilles. Should have him. But you don't know for sure. They get one pick of the top thirty to find a back that can keep things running with no LT. One of us has a very low opion of feild vision and moves. And there are only so many in the pile that can do what LT can do.
You can only run Jacob Hester on traps so many times....swing him out so many times to catch the ball in the flats before the d-coordinators will catch up with him. He's a nice cange of pace guy....he's no bell cow back who can throw his team on his shoulders and carry the Bolts to the big dance. No way.

You always go with BPA. While the position may not necessarily be a position of need today, it might be tomorrow. Remember when KC drafted Larry johnson and everyone screamed at them to take a D player? Everyone yelled at them becuase they had Priest Holmes and they needed a D player. While Asomugha took a few years to develop, LJ stepped right in and led the Chiefs when Priest became hurt.

You never know what can happen on the field, so you need to take BPA.

I don't know if that's exactly the best example. LJ sat on the bench for a couple of years being grumpy before finally getting his chance. If they had taken a D player, they may have been better for a longer period of time. They probably would have gotten production sooner.

And as it is, LJ sat on the bench for a couple of years. Had two great years. And now is already used up and has had a couple of not so great years. He might be done already.

Nice effort, but I don't see the Texans taking LeSean McCoy...not a "pound it up the middle guy". Also, with Shonn Greene and Ron Brace on the board, I would take these two over McCoy. Nice job overall...

Im going to vomit if I see Ian Johnsons name mentioned before the 6th round again. He will be lucky to get drafted.

Well when he hit the knee and asked his future wife to marry him in front of America, every girl in the country fell in love with the guy.

And the guy had an excellent combine.... and acording to McClain.....he fits what the Mushroom King wants. "Doesn't matter what size". all that matters is how quick, can he read the hole....stick his foot in the ground and hit the hole.....Ian fits.

Probably end up taking the Aggie

Tell me why the Chargers have to pick a RB with their first round pick? They have Tomlinson, Sproles & Hester (who was picked before Slaton). They can take a good RB in the 3rd or 4th round if they wanted one. I personally like the Tyson Jackson pick more than I would of a 2nd or 3rd string RB for them, jmo.

Mccoy was easily the BPA when the Texans pick came up in my mock. I believe Mccoy could go in the first round, and I personally like him more than Chris Wells. If Mccoy falls to the Texans 2nd round pick I would be glad if the Texans picked him.

I personally don't like taking a running back in the second either. We've got Moats, and we can get someone to do what we need in later rounds. I'd much rather we take Brace there in the second.

I think everyone would be going gaga over Denver getting both Mauluga & Brace.
